26:1  Say, "My Fosterer does not (even) care for you all if you do not pray (to Him), and you have denied so (the consequence of) it will be inevitable." (R 6, P 18 ¼ )
26:2  Taa Siin Miim.
26:3  Those are the signs of the book that makes clear.
26:4  You will perhaps kill yourself with grief because they do not believe.
26:5  If We will, We can send down on them a sign from the sky, so that their necks would remain bowed down before it.
26:6  And there does not come to them any new reminder from the Beneficent (Allah) but they turn away from it.
26:7  So they have denied (it), therefore the news of that which they mock at, will come to them.
26:8  Did they not see towards the earth how many beneficial (things) of every kind have We caused to grow in it?
26:9  There is certainly a sign in that but the majority of them does not believe.
26:10  And your Fosterer ! He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful.
26:11  And when your Fosterer called out to Musa, that, "Go to the unjust people,
26:12  people of Firawn. Will they not guard (against evil)?"
26:13  He said, "My Fosterer! I fear that they will deny me,
26:14  further, my bosom straitens and my language is not fluent, so send for Harun (to help me).
26:15  And they have (the charge of) a crime against me so I fear that they will kill me."
26:16  He said, "By no means, so both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, Hearing.
26:17  So go to Firawn then say: We are sent (by) the Fosterer of the worlds (with a message)
26:18  that you should send the children of Israel with us."
26:19  He (Firawn) said, "Were you not fostered among us as a child? And you did stay among us for many years of your life,
26:20  and you did that deed of yours which you did and you are of the ungrateful ones."
26:21  He said, "I did it then, when I was of those in error,
26:22  so I fled from you when I feared you, but my Fosterer granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers.
26:23  Now (should) that favour with which you favoured me (become the cause) for your enslaving the children of Isreal?”
26:24  Firawn said, "And who is the Fosterer of the worlds?"
26:25  He said, "The Fosterer of the skies and the earth and that which is between them, if you (want) to be of those who are certain."
26:26  He said to those around him, "Do you not hear?"
26:27  He said, "Your Fosterer and the Fosterer of your ancient fathers."
26:28  He said, "Your messenger who has been sent to you is certainly possessed by jinn."
26:29  He said, "Fosterer of the east and the west and that which is between them, if you have sense."
26:30  He said, "If you take a god other than me I will definitely place you among the prisoners."
26:31  He said, "Even if I bring to you something as a clear proof?"
26:32  He said, "Then bring it, if you are of the truthful ones."
26:33  So he threw down his staff when it became a clear serpent,
26:34  and he drew out his hand when it became white for those who were seeing.
26:35  He (Firawn) said to the leaders (of his community) around him, "This is certainly a learned magician,
26:36  he intends to drive you out from your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"
26:37  They said, "Keep him and his brother (waiting) in hope and send into the cities (your officials) who gather (people)
26:38  (so that) they should bring to you every learned magician."
26:39  So the magicians were gathered at the appointed time on a known day.
26:40  And it was said to the people, "Will you gather,
26:41  so that we may follow the magicians if they are the winners?"
26:42  So when the magicians came, they said to Firawn, "Is there a sure reward for us if we are the winners?"
26:43  He said, "Yes, then you will certainly be of those who are near (to me)."
26:44  Musa said to them, "Cast down what you are going to cast down."
26:45  So they cast down their ropes and their rods and said, "By the might of Firawn we will certainly be winners."
26:46  Then Musa cast down his staff when it swallowed that which they had falsely devised.
26:47  Consequently the magicians were thrown down prostrating.
26:48  They said, "We believe in the Fosterer of the worlds,
26:49  Fosterer of Musa and Harun."
26:50  He (Firawn) said, "You believe in him before I give you permission, he is certainly your chief who taught you magic, but you will know, I will definitely cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides and I will definitely crucify you all together."
26:51  They said, "No harm, we will return to our Fosterer,
26:52  we certainly hope that our Fosterer will protectively forgive us our faults, because we are the first of the believers."
26:53  And We communicated to Musa that, "Take away my servants by night, you will be pursued."
26:54  So Firawn sent into the cities (his officials) who gathered (people)
26:55  (saying), "They are certainly a small party
26:56  and they have angered us
26:57  and we are an alert army."
26:58  Thus did We drive them out from gardens and springs
26:59  and treasures and an honoured position.
26:60  Like that (it happened). And We made the children of Israel to inherit them.
26:61  So they pursued them at sunrise.
26:62  So when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said, "We are caught."
26:63  He said, "By no means, My Fosterer is certainly with me, He will guide me."
26:64  So We communicated to Musa that, "Strike the sea with your staff," so it was split and each part became like a great mountain.
26:65  And We brought others near, there (at the same place),
26:66  and We delivered Musa and those with him, all together,
26:67  then We drowned the others.
26:68  In that there is certainly a sign, but the majority of them does not believe.
26:69  And your Fosterer, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful.
26:70  when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"
26:71  They said, "We worship idols and we will remain sticking to them."
26:72  He said, "Do they listen to you when you pray to (them)
26:73  or benefit you or harm you?"
26:74  They said, "No, we found our fathers doing like that."
26:75  He said, "Then do you see, that which you worship,
26:76  you and your fathers before you?
26:77  For they are enemies to me except the Fosterer of the worlds,
26:78  Who created me, then He it is Who guides me
26:79  and Who feeds me and gives me to drink
26:80  and when I am sick, then He it is Who cures me
26:81  and Who will cause me to die, then give me life (again)
26:82  and (from) Whom I hope, that He will protectively forgive me my mistakes on the day of judgment.
26:83  My Fosterer! grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous
26:84  and assign for me a true mention among later (generations),
26:85  and place me among the inheritors of the garden of bliss,
26:86  and protectively forgive my father, he is certainly among those who are astray,
26:87  and do not disgrace me on the day they are raised (again),
26:88  the day on which neither wealth nor sons will benefit,
26:89  except him who comes to Allah with a pure heart."
26:90  And the garden will be brought near for those who guard (against evil).
26:91  And the hell will be made manifest to the erring ones.
26:92  And it will be said to them, "Where are those whom you used to worship
26:93  besides Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?"
26:94  Then they will be thrown headlong into it, they and the misleaders
26:95  and the army of Iblis (devil), all together.
26:96  They will say while they quarrel therein,
26:97  "By Allah, we were certainly in clear error
26:98  when we considered you equal to the Fosterer of the worlds,
26:99  and no one has misled us except the criminals,
26:100  so we have no mediators
26:101  and no intimate friend.
26:102  So if we are given (another chance to) return (to the world), then we will certainly be of those who believe."
26:103  There is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe.
26:104  And your Fosterer, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful.
26:105  The people of Nuh denied the messengers
26:106  when their brother Nuh said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)?
26:107  I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you,
26:108  so fear Allah and obey me,
26:109  and l do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Fosterer of the worlds,
26:110  so fear Allah and obey me."
26:111  They said, "Shall we believe in you when the worst (people) follow you?"
26:112  He said, "And what knowledge do I have of what they do?"
26:113  (The responsibility of taking) their account is on none but my Fosterer, if you (could only) realize.
26:114  And I am not (supposed) to drive away the believers,
26:115  I am nothing but a plain warner."
26:116  They said, "If you do not desist, O Nuh! you will definitely be of those who are stoned (to death)."
26:117  He said, "My Fosterer! my people have certainly denied me,
26:118  so decide between me and them (by pronouncing) a judgment, and deliver me and those of the believers who are with me."
26:119  So We delivered him and those with him, in the loaded ship.
26:120  Then after that We drowned those who remained behind.
26:121  There is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe.
26:122  And your Fosterer, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful.
26:123  The (people of) Aad denied the messengers
26:124  when their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)?
26:125  I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you
26:126  so fear Allah and obey me,
26:127  and I do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Fosterer of the worlds.
26:128  Do you build a monument on every high place, without any purpose?
26:129  And you take (for dwellings) strong fortresses that perhaps you may stay (in them for ever).
26:130  And when you take hold (of people), you take hold (of them) as tyrants.
26:131  So fear Allah and obey me.
26:132  And fear Him Who helped you with that which you know,
26:133  He has helped you with cattle and sons
26:134  and gardens and springs,
26:135  I certainly fear for you the punishment of the great day."
26:136  They said, "It is equal to us whether you admonish or you do not be of those who admonish.
26:137  This is nothing but a customary (warning) of the ancient,
26:138  and we will not be punished."
26:139  Thus they denied him, therefore We destroyed them, there is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe.
26:140  And your Fosterer, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful.
26:141  The (people of) Samood denied the messengers
26:142  when their brother Saleh said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)?
26:143  I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you
26:144  so fear Allah and obey me.
26:145  And I do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Fosterer of the worlds.
26:146  Will you be left secure in that which is here:
26:147  in gardens and springs
26:148  and cultivations and date palms, the spathes of which break (due to the weight of the fruit).
26:149  And you exultingly carve houses out of mountains,
26:150  so fear Allah and obey me,
26:151  and do not obey the command of the extravagant
26:152  who cause corruption in the earth and do not act aright."
26:153  They said, "You are only one of the bewitched,* * One under the influence of magic.
26:154  you are nothing but a man like us, so bring a sign if you are of the truthful ones."
26:155  He said, "This is a she-camel, for it there (is a portion of water for) drinking and for you (a portion of water for) drinking on a known day.
26:156  And do not afflict her with evil lest the punishment of a great day seize you."
26:157  But they stabbed her then became regretters.
26:158  So the punishment seized them, there is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe.
26:159  And your Fosterer, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful. (R 8)
26:160  The people of Lut denied the messengers
26:161  when their brother Lut said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)?
26:162  I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you
26:163  so fear Allah and obey me,
26:164  and I do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Fosterer of the worlds.
26:165  What! of all creatures you approach males,
26:166  and leave those of your wives whom your Fosterer has created for you? No, you are a transgressing people."
26:167  They said, "If you do not desist, O Lut! you will definitely be of those who are driven out."
26:168  He said, "I am certainly of those who hate your acts.
26:169  My Fosterer ! deliver me and my followers from that which they do."
26:170  So We delivered him and his followers all together
26:171  except an old woman, (who was) among those who remained behind.
26:172  Then We destroyed the others
26:173  and We rained on them a rain, so evil was the rain of those who were warned.
26:174  There is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe.
26:175  And your Fosterer, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful (R 9)
26:176  The inhabitants of the jungle denied the messengers
26:177  when Shuaib said to them, "Will you not guard (against evil)?
26:178  I am certainly a trustworthy messenger to you
26:179  so fear Allah and obey me,
26:180  and I do not ask you for any reward for it, my reward is with none but the Fosterer of the worlds.
26:181  Give back full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.
26:182  And weigh with a balance that is straight (correct),
26:183  and do not give less to people, the things due to them, and do not cause disturbance in the earth being corrupt,
26:184  and fear Him Who created you and the ancient generations."
26:185  They said, "You are only one of the bewitched,
26:186  and you are nothing but a man like us, and our guess about you is that you are of those who lie.
26:187  Then make pieces from the sky to fall on us if you are of the truthful ones."
26:188  He said, "My Fosterer knows best about what you do."
26:189  So they denied him therefore the punishment of the over shadowing cloud seized them, it was certainly a punishment of a great day.
26:190  There is certainly a sign in that, but the majority of them does not believe.
26:191  And your Fosterer, He is certainly the Mighty, the Merciful.
26:192  And the (Quran) has certainly been sent down by the Fosterer of the worlds,
26:193  the trustworthy spirit came down with it
26:194  on your heart that you may be (one) of the warners
26:195  in plain Arabic language
26:196  and it is (mentioned) in ancient scriptures (too).
26:197  Is it not a sign for them that the learned (men among) the children of Israel know it?
26:198  And had We sent it down on any of the foreigners
26:199  and had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it.
26:200  Thus did We cause it to enter into the hearts of the criminals:
26:201  (that) they should not believe in it till they see the painful punishment,
26:202  which will come upon them suddenly while they are not conscious,
26:203  then they will say, "Shall we be given time (for amendment)?"
26:204  What ! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment?
26:205  Then do you see? If We make them enjoy for years
26:206  then there comes to them that which they were promised.
26:207  . (at that time), that which they were made to enjoy will not be of any use to them.
26:208  And We did not destroy any town but it had its warners
26:209  (for) reminding, and We are not unjust.
26:210  And the devils have not come down with the (Quran),
26:211  and it neither suits them nor are they capable (of doing it),
26:212  (on the contrary) they have been removed far away (even) from hearing (it).
26:213  So do not pray to another (presumed) god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished.
26:214  And warn your family (consisting) of close relatives.
26:215  And lower your wing for him who follows you from among the believers.
26:216  And if they disobey you then say, "I am certainly free of that which you do."
26:217  And put your trust in the Mighty, the Merciful,
26:218  Who sees you when you stand
26:219  and your movements among those who prostrate.
26:220  He is certainly the Hearing, the Knowing.
26:221  Should I inform you (of those) on whom the devils come down?
26:222  22. They come down on every liar, sinner,
26:223  they deliver hearsay and most of them are liars.
26:224  And the poets, those in error follow them.
26:225  Do you not see that they wander distracted in every valley
26:226  and that they say that which they do not practice,
26:227  except those who believe and do righteous works and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after the in-justice that is done to them? And those who are unjust will know, to which place of turning back they will turn back.
