15:1  Alif.Lam.Ra. Those are the signs of the Book and a clear Quran.

15:2  Perhaps those who disbelieved will wish if only they were submitters.

15:3  Leave them to eat and enjoy and let hope divert them, so soon they will know.

15:4  And We have destroyed no town except there was a known book for it.

15:5  No nation can precede its term and they cannot delay.

15:6  And they said, 'O the one who the reminder has been sent down on! Indeed, you are surely mad.

15:7  If only you come to us with the angels, if you are of the truthful.'

15:8  We do not send down the angels except with the truth, and then they would not be given respite.

15:9  Indeed We, We have sent down the reminder, and indeed, We are surely guardians for it.

15:10  And surely, certainly We sent before you among the sects of the former people.

15:11  And no messenger comes to them except they used to mock him.

15:12  Thus We insert it in the hearts of the sinners.

15:13  They will not believe in it. And certainly, the course of the former people has passed away.

15:14  Even if We opened to them a gate of the heaven, then they continued to ascend in it,

15:15  Surely, they would say, 'Our eyes are only intoxicated; nay, we are people bewitched.'

15:16  And surely, certainly We have placed towers in the heaven and We have beautified them for the beholders;

15:17  And We have guarded them from every stoned devil;

15:18  Except one who stole the hearing, then a clear flame followed him.

15:19  And the earth, We stretched it and We threw in it firm mountains, and We made to grow in it of every balanced thing.

15:20  And We made livelihoods for you in it and one who you are not providers for him.

15:21  And there is not a thing except its treasures are with Us; and We do not send it down except by a known measure.

15:22  And We have sent the winds fertilizing, and We have sent down water from the heaven, then We gave it to you to drink, and you are not treasurers for it.

15:23  And indeed, We, surely We, We give life and We cause death, and We are the Inheritors.

15:24  And surely, certainly We knew the preceders among you and surely, certainly We knew the laggards.

15:25  And indeed, your Lord, He will gather them; indeed, He is wise, knowing.

15:26  And surely, certainly We created man from clay of shaped mud;

15:27  And the jinn, We created it before from the fire of the hot wind.

15:28  And when your Lord said to the angels, 'Indeed, I am creating a mortal from clay of shaped mud;

15:29  Then when I have made him uniform and I have blown in him of My spirit, then fall down prostrating to him.'

15:30  Then the angels prostrated, all of them, all together,

15:31  Except Iblis. He refused to be with those who prostrate.

15:32  He said, 'O Iblis! What ails you that you are not with those who prostrate?'

15:33  He said, 'I am not for prostrating to a mortal. You created him from clay of shaped mud.'

15:34  He said, 'Then go out of it, so indeed, you are stoned.

15:35  And indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Judgment.'

15:36  He said, 'My Lord! Then give me respite until the day they will be raised.'

15:37  He said, 'Then indeed, you are of the respited

15:38  Until the day of the known time.'

15:39  He said, 'My Lord! Because you have caused me to err, surely I will definitely beautify for them in the earth, and I will surely, definitely cause them to err all together;

15:40  Except Your servants among them, the sincere ones.'

15:41  He said, 'This is a straight way against me.

15:42  Indeed, My servants you have no authority over them except he who follows you among those who err.'

15:43  And indeed, Hell is surely their appointment all together.

15:44  It has seven gates, for each gate there is an assigned portion of them.

15:45  Indeed, those who fear are in gardens and springs:

15:46  Enter it in peace, secure.

15:47  And We will draw out what is in their breasts of rancour; brothers on couches face to face.

15:48  No fatigue will touch them in it; and they will not be brought forth from it.

15:49  Inform My servants that I, I am the Forgiving, the Compassionate;

15:50  And that My punishment, it is the painful punishment.

15:51  And inform them about the guests of Abraham.

15:52  When they entered upon him, then they said, 'Peace.' He said, 'Indeed, we are afraid of you.'

15:53  They said, 'Do not be afraid. Indeed we, we give you glad tidings of a knowing boy.'

15:54  He said, 'Have you given me glad tidings upon that the old age has touched me? So of what do you give me glad tidings?'

15:55  They said, 'We have given you glad tidings of the truth, so do not be of those who despair.'

15:56  He said, 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who err.'

15:57  He said, 'Then what is your affair, O messengers?'

15:58  They said, 'Indeed we, we have been sent to sinful people;

15:59  Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will surely save them all together,

15:60  Except his wife.’ We decreed, indeed, she is surely of those who tarry.

15:61  Then when the messengers came to the family of Lot,

15:62  He said, 'Indeed, you are unknown people.'

15:63  They said, 'Nay, we have come to you with that concerning which they used to doubt.

15:64  And we have come to you with the truth, and indeed, we are surely truthful.

15:65  So travel by night with your family, in a part of the night, and follow their rear; and let not anyone of you turn around; and go on where you are commanded.'

15:66  And We decreed to him that, the command that the root of these would be cut off in the morning.

15:67  And the people of the city came, rejoicing.

15:68  He said, 'Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me;

15:69  And fear God, and do not disgrace me.'

15:70  They said, 'And did we not forbid you from the worlds?'

15:71  He said, 'These are my daughters, if you would be doers.'

15:72  By your life, indeed, they were surely in their intoxication wandering about.

15:73  Then the noise seized them at sunrise.

15:74  Then We made its high part its low part, and We caused stones of baked clay to rain upon them.

15:75  Indeed, in that surely are signs for those who scrutinize.

15:76  And indeed, it is surely in a lasting way.

15:77  Indeed, in that surely is a sign for the believers.

15:78  And indeed, the fellows of the thicket were surely wrongdoers;

15:79  So We took vengeance on them, and indeed, both of them are surely for a clear model.

15:80  And surely, certainly the fellows of Al Hijr called the messengers liars,

15:81  And We gave them Our signs, then they used to turn away from them.

15:82  And they used to hew out secure houses from the mountains.

15:83  Then the noise seized them in the morning;

15:84  Then what they used to earn availed them not.

15:85  And We created the heavens and the earth and what is between both of them not except with the truth. And indeed, the Hour is surely coming; so overlook, the beautiful overlooking.

15:86  Indeed, your Lord, He is the Knowing Creator.

15:87  And surely, certainly We gave you seven of the repeated and the great Quran.

15:88  Definitely do not extend your two eyes to what We have provided pairs of them with, and do not grieve over them, and lower your wing to the believers.

15:89  And say, 'Indeed I, I am a clear warner.'

15:90  As We sent down to the dividers,

15:91  Those who have made the Quran pieces.

15:92  So by your Lord, We will surely, definitely ask them all together

15:93  About what they used to do.

15:94  So execute what you are commanded and turn away from the idolaters.

15:95  Indeed We, We have sufficed you against the mockers,

15:96  Those who make another god with God. So soon they will know.

15:97  And surely, certainly We know that you, your breast straitens with what they say.

15:98  So glorify with the praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate.

15:99  And serve your Lord until the certainty comes to you.
