53:1  By the star when it came down.
53:2  Your companion is not in error nor mislead.
53:3  And he does not speak from desire.
53:4  It is only a revelation given.
53:5  Taught to him by the One strong in power.
53:6  Then he rose in full splendour.
53:7  And he was on the highest horizon.
53:8  Then he approached and came down.
53:9  And was at a distance of two bow lengths or less.
53:10  Then He revealed to His servant what He revealed.
53:11  The heart did not belie what it saw.
53:12  Do you then doubt him in what he sees?
53:13  And he saw him another time.
53:14  Near the sacred cedar tree.
53:15  Where the garden of home is.
53:16  When the cedar tree was completely covered.
53:17  The eyes looked neither aside nor beyond.
53:18  He saw of the greatest signs of his Lord.
53:19  Have you considered Al-Lat and Al-´Uzza?
53:20  And Manat, the other third one?
53:21  Do you have males and He has females?
53:22  This would be an unfair division.
53:23  They are only names you and your fathers have given. Allah has not sent any authority for it. They only follow assumptions and what their souls desire, when guidance has already reached them from their Lord.
53:24  Or does man get what he wishes for?
53:25  But to Allah belongs the hereafter and this world.
53:26  And how many angels are there in the heavens whose intercession does not benefit the least except after Allah has given permission to whom He pleases and is content with.
53:27  Those who do not believe in the hereafter name the angels by female names.
53:28  They have no knowledge of this. They only follow assumptions, and assumptions do not have any value in the face of truth.
53:29  So leave whoever turns away from Our remembrance and only wants the life of this world.
53:30  That is the extent of their knowledge, for your Lord knows best who has strayed from His way, and He knows best who is guided.
53:31  And to Allah belongs what is in the heavens and what is on earth, so that He will reward those who did bad on account of what they did, and rewards those who did good with the best.
53:32  Those who stay away from major sins and indecencies, but for the unintentional, for your Lord is far-reaching in forgiveness and knew best about you when He originated you on the earth and when you were embryos in the wombs of your mothers, so do not declare yourselves pure, He knows best who bewares.
53:33  Have you considered him who turns away.
53:34  And gives little and withholds.
53:35  Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees?
53:36  Or has he not been informed of what is in the books of Musa (Moses),
53:37  And Ibrahim (Abraham), who gave in full?
53:38  That no-one burdened will carry another´s burden.
53:39  And that man only gets what he strives for.
53:40  And that what he strives for will soon be seen.
53:41  Then he will be given his full reward.
53:42  And that the final destination is to your Lord.
53:43  And that He makes him laugh and cry.
53:44  And that He makes him die and live.
53:45  And that He created male and female in pairs.
53:46  From a sperm when it is ejaculated.
53:47  And that upon Him is the second creation.
53:48  And that He gives independence and contentment.
53:49  And that He is the Lord of Sirius.
53:50  And He destroyed ´Ad of old.
53:51  And Thamud, so they did not last.
53:52  And the people of Nuh (Noah) before, for they were most sinful and transgressing.
53:53  And those who were turned upside down.
53:54  And completely covered.
53:55  Then which of the blessings of your Lord do you doubt?
53:56  This is a warning like the earlier warnings.
53:57  The imminent has come close.
53:58  Nobody besides Allah can prevent it.
53:59  Are you then astonished about this statement?
53:60  And laugh and do not cry?
53:61  And you are stuck up?
53:62  But prostrate to Allah and serve Him.
