69:1  The reality.
69:2  What is the reality?
69:3  And what will make you know what the reality is?
69:4  Thamud and 'Ad called the sudden calamity a lie;
69:5  So as for Thamud, then they were destroyed with the thunderbolt;
69:6  And as for 'Ad, then they were destroyed with an immoderate, intensely cold wind.
69:7  He subjected it against them seven nights and eight days inauspiciously. And you see the people in it prostrate as if they were trunks of palm trees fallen down,
69:8  And can you see any remnant of them?
69:9  And Pharaoh and who was before him and the overturned cities came with the sin,
69:10  And they rebelled against the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them, an increasing seizing.
69:11  Indeed We, when the water surged, We carried you in the ship,
69:12  That We may make it a reminder for you and that a retentive ear may retain it.
69:13  Then when the horn is blown in, one blast,
69:14  And the earth and the mountains are carried and both are crushed, one crushing;
69:15  Then on that day the event will happen;
69:16  And the heaven will split asunder, so it is on that day unsound,
69:17  And the angels on its sides, and eight will carry the throne of your Lord above them on that day.
69:18  On that day you will be exposed, a secret of you will not be hidden.
69:19  Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say, 'Here! Read my book!
69:20  Indeed I, I thought that I would meet my reckoning.'
69:21  And he is in a pleasing life,
69:22  In a lofty garden,
69:23  Its cluster of fruits near.
69:24  'Eat and drink with good digestion for what you did previously in the past days.'
69:25  And as for him who is given his book in his left hand, then he will say, 'O, would that I had not been given my book
69:26  And knew not what my reckoning is.
69:27  O would that it was the end.
69:28  My wealth availed me not.
69:29  My authority has perished from me.'
69:30  Take him and fetter him,
69:31  Then the Hellfire broil him.
69:32  Then in a chain, its length is seventy cubits, then insert him.
69:33  Indeed he, he does not believe in God, the Great,
69:34  And he does not urge on the feeding of the poor.
69:35  So there is not for him here today a warm friend,
69:36  Nor food except from the discharge of wounds,
69:37  None will eat it except the sinners.
69:38  And I swear by what you see,
69:39  And what you do not see,
69:40  Indeed, it is surely speech of a noble messenger;
69:41  And it is not speech of a poet; little is what you believe.
69:42  And not speech of a soothsayer; little is what you remember.
69:43  A revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
69:44  And if he lied against Us some of the sayings,
69:45  Surely We would have seized him by the right hand;
69:46  Then surely We would have cut off from him the aorta;
69:47  And not one of you preventers from him.
69:48  And indeed, it is surely a Reminder for those who fear;
69:49  And indeed We, We surely know that there are amongst you those who say it is a lie;
69:50  And indeed, it is surely regret upon the disbelievers;
69:51  And indeed, it is surely the truth of the certainty.
69:52  So glorify with the name of your Lord, the Great.
