55:1  The Merciful,
55:2  He taught the Quran;
55:3  He created man,
55:4  He taught him the clear speech.
55:5  The sun and the moon with calculation.
55:6  And the star and the tree both prostrate.
55:7  And the heaven, He raised it and He set down the balance,
55:8  That you not be immoderate in the balance;
55:9  And make the weight upright with justice and do not cause the balance loss.
55:10  And the earth. He set it down for the creatures;
55:11  In it fruit; and the palms, possessors of the calyxes;
55:12  And the grain, possessors of the straw; and the fragrant plants.
55:13  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:14  He created man from clay like the pottery.
55:15  And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
55:16  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:17  The Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests.
55:18  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:19  He has loosed the two seas. They meet.
55:20  Between them is a barrier they cannot pass.
55:21  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:22  There comes forth from both of them the pearls and the coral.
55:23  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:24  And for Him are the ships elevated in the sea like the mountains.
55:25  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:26  All who are upon it are transient,
55:27  And the face of your Lord, the possessor of Majesty and Honour, will remain.
55:28  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:29  Whoever is in the heavens and the earth asks Him; everyday He is in business.
55:30  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:31  Soon We will attend to you, O two burdens.
55:32  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:33  O assembly of the jinn and mankind! If you are able that you pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass through it. You cannot pass through except with authority.
55:34  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:35  There will be sent against both of you a flame of fire, and molten copper; and you cannot defend yourselves.
55:36  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:37  And when the heaven is split asunder and it becomes rosy red, like oil.
55:38  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:39  Then on that day no man nor jinn will be asked about his sin.
55:40  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:41  The sinners will be recognised by their mark, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
55:42  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:43  This is Hell which the sinners call a lie.
55:44  They will go round between it and hot, boiling water.
55:45  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:46  And for he who feared the station of His Lord are two gardens.
55:47  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:48  Possessed of branches.
55:49  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:50  In both of them are two flowing springs.
55:51  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:52  In both of them are pairs of every fruit.
55:53  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:54  Reclining on beds whose linings are of brocade. And the fruit of the two gardens near.
55:55  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:56  In them are women restraining their glances, whom no man before them nor jinn has deflowered.
55:57  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:58  As if they were the ruby and the coral.
55:59  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:60  Is the reward of goodness except goodness?
55:61  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:62  And besides both of them are two gardens.
55:63  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:64  Dark green foliage.
55:65  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:66  In both of them are two gushing springs.
55:67  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:68  In both of them fruit and palms and pomegranates.
55:69  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:70  In them good, good.
55:71  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:72  Houris, cloistered in the tents.
55:73  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:74  Whom no man before them nor jinn has deflowered.
55:75  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:76  Reclining on green cushions and good carpets.
55:77  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?
55:78  Blessed is the name of your Lord, the possessor of Majesty and Honour.
