55:1  The True Merciful (God)!
55:2  It is He Who taught the Qur’ān.
55:3  He created man.
55:4  He taught him the art of articulation.
55:5  The sun and the moon are made punctual.
55:6  The herbage and the trees do prostrate.
55:7  The heavens, He raised it high. And He set up the scale
55:8  So that you do not transgress the scales.
55:9  Now, therefore, maintain the scale with equity and do not fall short of the measure.
55:10  And the earth, He laid it for the creatures.
55:11  Therein are fruit and palm-trees with sheaths,
55:12  And also husked grain and aromatic basil.
55:13  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:14  He created man from dry clay like baked pottery;
55:15  Where as He created the Jinn from smokeless flame of fire.
55:16  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:17  He is the Lord of the East and the West.
55:18  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:19  He released the two seas, meeting (side by side).
55:20  Between them is a barrier so neither of them can transgress.
55:21  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:22  There comes forth from both of them pearl and coral.
55:23  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:24  And His are the ships displayed upon the sea like mountains.
55:25  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:26  All that on the earth is bound to perish.
55:27  But will remain (for ever) the Face of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Honor.
55:28  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:29  All those in the heavens and on the earth depend on Him. Every day He is in a (new) splendorous manifestation.
55:30  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:31  We shall call you to account, O’ you two prominent beings, (mankind & jinn).
55:32  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:33  O’ company of jinn and mankind, if you (think that you) are capable of passing through the regions of the heavens and earth, then pass through. But you will not be able to pass through except with power and authority.
55:34  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:35  There will be sent upon you both flames of fire and sparks of brass, then you will be unable to protect your own selves.
55:36  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:37  When the sky is rent asunder, it becomes red like murky oil.
55:38  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:39  On that day neither man nor jinni will be asked about his sin!
55:40  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:41  The Ungodly Sinners will be recognized by their marks. They will be seized by their forelocks and their feet.
55:42  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:43  This is Gehenna which the Ungodly Sinners were inclined to deny.
55:44  They will be (compelled to) go round between it and between scalding boiling water.
55:45  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:46  But for him who stands in awe of the absolute majesty and glory of his Lord, there are two gardens -
55:47  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?-
55:48  Containing various trees!
55:49  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:50  Therein are two flowing springs.
55:51  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:52  In the two gardens are pairs of every fruit.
55:53  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:54  (The Denizens of Al-Jannah) will recline on couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens are within reach.
55:55  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:56  Therein are bashful maidens whom neither man nor jinni has ever touched them before-
55:57  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?-
55:58  As though they were rubies and coral.
55:59  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:60  Is the reward of goodness aught but goodness?
55:61  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:62  Beside these two, there are two other gardens -
55:63  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?-
55:64  Dark-green.
55:65  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:66  Therein are two abundant springs.
55:67  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:68  Therein are fruit, palms and pomegranates.
55:69  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:70  Therein are maidens, noble and gorgeous -
55:71  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?-
55:72  With wide, lovely black eyes, dwelling in pavilions.
55:73  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?-
55:74  Neither human nor jinn will have touched them before.
55:75  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:76  (The Denizens of Al-Jannah) will recline on green cushions and fine carpets.
55:77  Then, which is it, of the marvels of your Lord, that you, (O’ mankind & jinn), seek to deny?
55:78  Most Exalted is the Name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Honor.
