55:1  IT IS the Merciful
55:2  who has taught the Koran
55:3  He created ma
55:4  and taught him articulate speech
55:5  The sun and the moon pursue their ordered course
55:6  The plants and the trees bow down in adoration
55:7  The heaven He raised on high and set the Balance of all things
55:8  that you might not transgress that Balance
55:9  Give just weight and full measure, and do not cheat the Balance
55:10  And the earth He laid for His creatures
55:11  with all its fruits and blossom-bearing palm
55:12  chaff-covered grain and scented herbs
55:13  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you² deny
55:14  He created man from potter‘s clay
55:15  and the jinn from smokeless fire
55:16  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:17  The Lord of the two easts³ is He, and the Lord of the two wests
55:18  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:19  He has let loose the two seas:⁴ they meet one another
55:20  Yet between them stands a barrier which they cannot overrun
55:21  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:22  Pearls and corals come out from both
55:23  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:24  His are the ships that sail like mountains upon the ocean
55:25  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:26  All that live on earth are doomed to die
55:27  But the face of your Lord will abide for ever, in all its majesty and glory
55:28  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:29  All who dwell in heaven and earth entreat Him. Each day some mighty task engages Him
55:30  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:31  Jinn and mankind, We shall surely find the time to judge you
55:32  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:33  You race of jinn and mankind, if you have power to penetrate the confines of heaven and earth, then penetrate them. But this you shall not do except with Our own authority
55:34  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:35  Flames of fire shall be lashed at you, and molten brass. There shall be none to help you
55:36  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:37  When the sky splits asunder, and reddens like a rose or stained leathe
55:38  (so which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny?)
55:39  on that day neither man nor jinnee will be asked about his sins
55:40  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:41  The transgressors will be known by their looks; they shall be seized by their forelocks and their feet
55:42  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:43  That is the Hell the transgressors deny
55:44  They shall wander between fire and water fiercely seething
55:45  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:46  But for those that fear the majesty of their Lord there are two Garden
55:47  (so which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny?)
55:48  planted with shady trees
55:49  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:50  Each is watered by a flowing spring
55:51  Which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:52  Each bears every kind of fruit in pairs
55:53  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:54  They shall recline on couches lined with rich brocade, and within reach will hang the fruits of both Gardens
55:55  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:56  Therein are bashful virgins whom neither man nor jinnee will have touched before
55:57  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:58  Virgins as fair as corals and rubies
55:59  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:60  Shall the reward of goodness be anything but good
55:61  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:62  And beside these there shall be two other Garden
55:63  (so which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny?)
55:64  of darkest green
55:65  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:66  A gushing fountain shall flow in each
55:67  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:68  Each planted with fruit-trees, the palm and the pomegranate
55:69  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:70  In each there shall be virgins chaste and fair
55:71  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:72  Dark-eyed virgins, sheltered in their tent
55:73  (so which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny?)
55:74  whom neither man nor jinnee will have touched before
55:75  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:76  They shall recline on green cushions and fine carpets
55:77  So which of your Lord‘s blessings would you deny
55:78  Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Glory
