54:1  The Hour has drawn near and the moon has ruptured.
54:2  Yet whenever they see a miracle, they disregard (it) and say, “Continuous magic!”
54:3  And they disbelieved and followed their whims. And every matter is bound to settle.
54:4  And most surely there have come to them tidings containing a deterrent—
54:5  profound wisdom, but warnings are of no avail.
54:6  So turn awaysg from them. On the day when the Summoner summons to something terrible,
54:7  with their sight(s) (subdued) in reverence they come out of the tombs like swarming locusts,
54:8  scrambling towards the Summoner; the deniers say, “This is a hard day.”
54:9  The people of Noah disbelieved before them, so they disbelieved Our servant and said, “A madman!”, and he was rebuked.
54:10  So he called upon his Lord, “I am overcome, so bestow help!”
54:11  So We opened the gates of the sky with water pouring down,
54:12  and We made the earth burst with springs, so the waters met for a matter already determined.
54:13  And We carried him on a craft of planks and nails,
54:14  sailing before Our eyes—a repayment for the one who had been denied.
54:15  And most surely We have left it as a sign, so is there anyone to remind himself?
54:16  So how were My punishment and My warnings!
54:17  And most surely We have made the Recital easy for remembrance, so is there anyone to remind himself?
54:18  Ād disbelieved, so how were My punishment and My warnings!
54:19  Indeed, We sent against them a screaming wind on a day of unrelenting misfortune,
54:20  plucking people away as though they were trunks of uprooted palm trees.
54:21  So how were My punishment and My warnings!
54:22  And most surely We made the Recital easy for remembrance, so is there anyone to remind himself?
54:23  Thamûd disbelieved in the warnings
54:24  and said, “Are we to follow a human being from among us? Indeed, we would then be astray and insane!
54:25  Has the Reminder been cast to him out of all of us? Rather, he is a wicked sheer liar.”
54:26  They will know tomorrow who the wicked sheer liar is.
54:27  We are sending the she-camel as a means of trial for them, so watchsg them and be patient.
54:28  And informsg them that the water is to be shared between them; each one should drink in turn.
54:29  But they called their fellow, and he dared and hamstrung (it).
54:30  So how were My punishment and My warnings!
54:31  Indeed, We sent against them a single Shout, and they ended up like a fence-maker’s dry sticks.
54:32  And most surely We made the Recital easy for remembrance, so is there anyone to remind himself?
54:33  The people of Lot disbelieved in the warnings.
54:34  Indeed, We sent against them a shower of stones, except for Lot's folk–We delivered them at dawn—
54:35  a blessing from Us; thus We repay whoever gives thanks.
54:36  And most surely he had warned them of Our onslaught, but they entered into controversies about the warnings.
54:37  And most surely they solicited of him his guests, so We obliterated their eyes— “So taste My punishment and My warnings.”
54:38  And most surely an abiding punishment came upon them in the morning—
54:39  “So tastepl My punishment and My warnings.”
54:40  And most surely We made the Recital easy for remembrance, so is there anyone to remind himself?
54:41  And most surely the warnings came to Pharaoh's folk—
54:42  they disbelieved all Our signs. So We seized them (with) the seizure of an Almighty, Invincible One.
54:43  Are yourpl deniers better than all those? Or do you have immunity in the Books?
54:44  Or do they say, “We, all together, will be victorious”?
54:45  The multitude will be defeated, and they will turn their backs.
54:46  Nay, the Hour is their appointed time, and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter.
54:47  Indeed, the criminals are in confusion and insanity.
54:48  The day when they are dragged upon their faces into the Fire: “Taste the touch of Saqar.”
54:49  Indeed, We have created everything in due measure.
54:50  And Our command is but once, like the twinkling of an eye.
54:51  And most surely We have annihilated yourpl likes, so is there anyone to remind himself?
54:52  And everything they have done is in the Books—
54:53  for everything, small or large, is written down.
54:54  Indeed, the mindful (of God) are amidst Gardens and rivers,
54:55  in a seat of truth, in the presence of an Invincible King.
