44:1  Ha Mim.
44:2  By the clear book.
44:3  We revealed it during a blessed night, for We continually issued warnings.
44:4  During it every matter to be judged is decided.
44:5  A command from Us, for We continually sent (messengers).
44:6  As mercy from your Lord, for He listens and knows.
44:7  The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you are certain.
44:8  There is no god but He, He gives life and death, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers.
44:9  But they play whilst in doubt.
44:10  So look out for a day when the sky brings clear smoke.
44:11  Which surrounds people, that is a painful punishment.
44:12  Our Lord, remove the punishment from us, for we believe.
44:13  How can they have a reminder (now), when a clear messenger came to them before?
44:14  Then they turned away and said: he has been taught and is possessed.
44:15  We will remove the punishment a little, for you will return.
44:16  On the day We take a major grip, for We take revenge.
44:17  And We tested before them the people of Pharaoh and an honourable messenger came to them.
44:18  (Saying): Return to me the servants of Allah, for I am a reliable messenger to you.
44:19  And do not exalt against Allah, for I have brought you a clear authority.
44:20  And I seek refuge in my Lord and your Lord that you would abuse me.
44:21  And if you do not believe me then leave me alone.
44:22  Then he called his Lord that these people are sinful.
44:23  So travel with My servants at night, for you will be followed.
44:24  And leave through the sea calmly, for they are forces to be drowned.
44:25  How many gardens and springs did they leave behind.
44:26  And plantations and honoured dwellings.
44:27  And blessings which they enjoyed.
44:28  This is what happened, and We made others inherit them.
44:29  And the sky and the earth did not cry for them, and they were not spared.
44:30  And We did rescue the Children of Israel from the humiliating punishment.
44:31  From Pharaoh, for he was extravagantly wasteful.
44:32  And We knowingly chose them above everybody else.
44:33  And We gave them signs which contained a clear test.
44:34  For these say:
44:35  There is only our first death, and we will not be raised.
44:36  Then bring our forefathers, if you are truthful.
44:37  Are they better or the people of Tubba´ (in Yemen) and those before them, We destroyed them, for they were sinful.
44:38  And We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between as a pastime.
44:39  We only created them with the truth, but most of them don´t know.
44:40  The day of division is the appointment for all of them.
44:41  The day when no protector will benefit his protégée the least and they will not be helped.
44:42  Except for the one on whom Allah has mercy, for he is the mighty and merciful.
44:43  For the tree of Zaqqum,
44:44  Is the food of the sinner,
44:45  Like lava bubbling in the bellies,
44:46  Like the bubbling of boiling water.
44:47  Take him and carry him into the midst of hell-fire.
44:48  Then pour the punishment of boiling water over his head.
44:49  Taste it, for you are the mighty and honourable.
44:50  For this is what you doubted.
44:51  Those who beware (of Allah) will be in a safe place.
44:52  In gardens and springs.
44:53  They will wear silk and brocade, facing each other.
44:54  This is how it is, and We will marry them to women of rare beauty.
44:55  They will ask there for any kind of fruit in safety.
44:56  They will not taste death there after the first death, and He will protect them from the punishment of hell-fire.
44:57  A favour from your Lord, that is the ultimate success.
44:58  And We have made it easy (to recite) in your language so that they might reflect.
44:59  So watch out, for they will watch out.
