52:1 By the mountain called Al Tur,

52:2 and [by] a Book inscribed

52:3 In a wide open parchment,

52:4 and [by] the frequented House,

52:5 and [by] the canopy raised high,

52:6 and [by] the surf-swollen sea,

52:7 the punishment of your Lord will occur.

52:8 Nothing can prevent it.

52:9 On the Day heaven sways with agitation

52:10 and the mountains shift about,

52:11 how terrible it is that Day, for the unbelievers,

52:12 who are chatting carelessly to amuse themselves.

52:13 The Day they are forcefully shoved into the fire of Hell

52:14 "This is the Fire which you didn't believe in.

52:15 Is this magic, or do you still not see?

52:16 Burn in it. Then be patient or impatient, it is all the same for you. You are only being repaid for what you have done."

52:17 Those who were mindful of God will be in Gardens and bliss,

52:18 rejoicing in what their Lord has given them. For their Lord has spared them the suffering of Hell.

52:19 "Eat and drink enjoyably, a reward for what You have done."

52:20 Reclining on luxurious furniture, beautifully arranged laced, We will pair them with Hoor Ein.

52:21 Those who believed and whose offspring followed them in faith, We will unite them with their offspring without depriving anybody of their reward for their deeds. Each one according to what he has earned

52:22 And We will provide them with any fruit and meat they desire.

52:23 They pass around a cup which does not lead to either idle talk, or sin.

52:24 Circulating among them to serve them, will be youths like hidden pearls

52:25 They will approach one another, wondering,

52:26 they will say "When we were previously among our families we used to live in fear.

52:27 But God blessed us, and spared us the suffering of the Scorching Fire.

52:28 Before this, we used to pray to Him. It is He who is the Most Kind, the Merciful-to-all."

52:29 So go on reminding.By the grace of your Lord, you are neither an oracle nor a madman.

52:30 Or do they say [of you], "He's only a poet let's wait to see what time will do to him?"

52:31 Say, "Go on waiting, I will be waiting with you."

52:32 Or is it their dreams compelling them to say this? Or are they people full of tyranny?

52:33 Or do they say, "He has simply made it up?" Rather, they do not want to believe.

52:34 Then let them produce something like it, if they are truthful.

52:35 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators?

52:36 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? In truth, they are not certain of anything.

52:37 Or do they possess your Lord's treasuries? Or do they have control over them?

52:38 Or do they have a stairway [into the heaven] to climb and eavesdrop? Then let their eavesdropper produce clear proof.

52:39 Or does He have daughters while you have sons?

52:40 Or do you demand a wage from them that would burden them with debt?

52:41 Or if they know the future, so they write [it] down?

52:42 Or are they plotting against you? The plot will fall back on the unbelievers

52:43 Or do they have a god other than God? May He be exalted in His glory. God is far above anything they associate with Him.

52:44 Even if they were to see a piece the sky falling, they would say, "Just a heap of clouds."

52:45 So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be stunned,

52:46 the Day when their plotting will not do them any good, nor will they be helped.

52:47 Another punishment awaits the unjust, but most of them are unaware of it.

52:48 So wait patiently for your Lord's judgment, for you are before Our eyes. And praise your Lord of limitless glory when you arise.

52:49 And glorify Him at night, and at the time when the stars retreat.
