30:2
The Romans have been defeated
30:3
In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome
30:4
In a few years; to God belongs the command before and after; and on that day the believers shall rejoice
30:5
With the help of God; He helps whom He wills, and He is the Mighty, the Compassionate.
30:6
God's promise. God breaks not His promise, but most of mankind do not know.
30:7
They know the outward of the worldly life, but of the hereafter they are heedless.
30:8
Do they not think in their souls? God created not the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except with the truth, and for a named term. And indeed, many of mankind surely disbelieve in the meeting of their Lord.
30:9
And did they not travel in the earth and see how the end of those who were before them was? They were stronger than them in strength, and they ploughed the earth and cultivated it more than they have cultivated it; and their messengers came to them with the clear proofs; and God wronged them not but they wronged themselves.
30:10
Then evil was the end of those who did evil, that they said the signs of God were lies and they used to mock them.
30:11
God originates creation, then He repeats it; then to Him you shall return.
30:12
And on the day the Hour rises, the sinners shall be in despair;
30:13
And they shall not have amongst their partners intercessors; and they shall disbelieve in their partners.
30:14
And on the day the Hour shall rise, on that day they shall separate;
30:15
And as for those who believed and did good works, so they shall be joyful in a meadow;
30:16
And as for those who disbelieved and said Our signs and the meeting of the hereafter were lies, then those shall be in the punishment arraigned.
30:17
So glory be to God when you are in the evening (Before and after sunset) and when you are in the morning (Before and after sunrise).
30:18
And His is the praise in the heavens and the earth. And in the afternoon (Noon to mid-afternoon), and when you are at noon.
30:19
He brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living; and He gives life to the earth after its death, and thus shall you be brought forth.
30:20
And of His signs is that He created you from dust; then behold, you are mortals spread abroad.
30:21
And of His signs is that He created for you of yourselves spouses that you may dwell with them; He made between you affection and mercy. Indeed, in that surely are signs for people who think.
30:22
And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the diversity of your tongues and your colours; indeed, in that surely are signs for those who know.
30:23
And of His signs is your sleep by night and day; and your seeking of His grace. Indeed, in that surely are signs for people who hear.
30:24
And of His signs He shows you lightening, a fear and hope; and He sends down from the sky water, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death; indeed, in that surely are signs for people who are intelligent.
30:25
And of His signs is that the heavens and the earth stand by His command; then when He calls you a call from the earth, lo, you shall come forth.
30:26
And to Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth, all are obedient to Him.
30:27
And He is the one who originates creation then repeats it, and it is very easy for Him; and His is the highest similitude in the heavens and the earth; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
30:28
He has struck for you a similitude from yourselves; do you have, of what your right hand possesses, any partners in what We have provided for you, so you are equal in it, you fear them as you fear yourselves? Thus We detail the signs for people who are intelligent.
30:29
Nay, those who do wrong follow their lusts without knowledge. And who shall guide him whom God has led astray? And they shall have no helpers.
30:30
So set your face to the religion, upright, the fitrah of God upon which He originated mankind; there is no altering the creation of God, that is the correct religion, but most of mankind do not know.
30:31
Repentant to Him; and fear Him, and be steadfast in the prayer; and do not be of the idolaters,
30:32
Of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every party in what they have, rejoicing.
30:33
And when distress touches mankind they call upon their Lord, repentant to Him; then when He has made them taste mercy from Him, behold, a party of them associate partners with their Lord,
30:34
That they may disbelieve in what We have given them; So enjoy, then soon you will know.
30:35
Or have We sent down to them an authority, and it speaks of what they associate with Him?
30:36
And when We make mankind taste mercy, they rejoice in it, and if evil befalls them for what their hands have sent forward, behold, they despair.
30:37
Have they not seen that God extends provision to whom He wills and straitens? Indeed, in that surely are signs for people who believe.
30:38
So give the relative his due, and the poor and the wayfarer; that is better for those who desire the face of God, and those, they are the prosperous.
30:39
And what you give for usury that it may increase in the wealth of mankind, will not increase with God; but what you give of alms, desiring the face of God, then those, they are the ones who gain double.
30:40
God is the one who created you, then provided for you; then will make you die, then will give you life; is there any of your partners who does anything of that? Glory be to Him and high is He from what they associate.
30:41
Trouble has appeared in the land and the sea, for what the hands of mankind have earned. That He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, perhaps they may return.
30:42
Say, 'Travel in the earth, and see how was the end of those who were before, most of them were idolaters.'
30:43
So make your face steadfast to the correct religion before that a day for which there is no averting comes from God; on that day they shall be sundered.
30:44
Whoever disbelieved, then upon him is his disbelief; and whoever did good works, then for themselves they are spreading beds.
30:45
That He may reward those who believed and did good works of His grace; indeed, He does not love the disbelievers.
30:46
And of His signs is that He sends the winds, heralds of glad tidings, and to make you taste of His mercy, and to make the ships sail at His command, and that you may seek of His grace, and perhaps you may be thankful.
30:47
And surely, certainly We sent before you messengers to their people, and they came to them with the clear proofs; then We took vengeance on those who committed sins, and the helping of the believers was due upon Us.
30:48
God is the one who sends the winds and they stir up a cloud; then He spreads it in the sky how He wills; and He makes it pieces, then you see the rain come forth from its midst; and when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, behold they rejoice,
30:49
And indeed, before it was sent down upon them they were before it surely in despair.
30:50
So look at the traces of the mercy of God, how He gives life to the earth after its death; Indeed, that is surely the giver of life to the dead, and He is powerful over everything.
30:51
And surely if We sent a wind and they see it becoming yellow, surely they would continue to disbelieve after it.
30:52
So indeed, you cannot make the dead to hear, and you cannot make the deaf to hear the call, when they turn back, retreating.
30:53
And you cannot guide the blind out of their error. You cannot make to hear except those who believe in Our signs, so they are those who submit.
30:54
God is the one who created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength; then made after strength, weakness and grey hair: He creates what He wills, and He is the Knowing, the Powerful.
30:55
And on the day the Hour rises, the sinners shall swear they did not tarry but an hour; thus they were turned away.
30:56
And those who were given knowledge and faith will say, 'Surely, certainly you have tarried according to the Book of God, until the Day of Resurrection, but you do not know.'
30:57
And on that day their excuse shall not profit those who did wrong; and they will not be regarded with favour.
30:58
And verily, We have struck for mankind in this, the Quran, of every similitude; and surely if you come to them with a sign, those who disbelieved will surely, definitely say, 'You are not except vain-doers.'
30:59
Thus God sets a stamp upon the hearts of those who do not know.
30:60
So be patient; indeed, God's promise is true. And definitely do not let those who are not sure flurry you.
