46:1  Ha.Mim.
46:2  The revelation of the Book is from God the Mighty, the Wise.
46:3  We created the heavens and the earth and what is between both of them not except with the truth and for a named term; and those who disbelieved are turning away from what they are warned of.
46:4  Say, 'Have you seen what you call on besides God, show me what they created of the earth; or is there a share for them in the heavens? Come to me with a book before this or a trace of knowledge, if you are truthful.'
46:5  And who is more astray than he who calls besides God on who will not respond to him to the Day of Resurrection, and they are heedless of their calling,
46:6  And when mankind is gathered, they will be enemies to them, and they will be disbelievers in their service.
46:7  And when Our signs are recited to them, clear proofs, those who disbelieved say to the truth when it comes to them, 'This is clear magic.'
46:8  Or they say, 'He has forged it'? Say: 'If I have forged it, then you have no power for me from God anything. He knows best what you spread abroad concerning it; He suffices for a witness between me and you, and He is the Forgiving, the Compassionate.'
46:9  Say: 'I am not an innovation among the messengers, and I do not know what will be done with me nor with you. I follow not except what is inspired to me; and I am not except a clear warner.'
46:10  Say, 'Have you seen if it is from God and you disbelieve in it, and a witness from the children of Israel testifies to the like of it, and he believes while you are proud?' Indeed, God does not guide the wrongdoing people.
46:11  And those who disbelieved said to those who believed, 'Had it been good, they would not have preceded us to it.' And when they were not guided by it, then soon they will say, 'This is an old lie.'
46:12  And before it is the Book of Moses, a model and mercy; and this is a verifying book, in Arabic tongue, to warn those who did wrong and to give glad tidings to the good-doers.
46:13  Indeed, those who said, 'Our Lord is God,' then they went straight, then there is no fear upon them, and they, they will not grieve.
46:14  Those are the fellows of the Garden, to dwell forever in it, a recompense for what they used to do.
46:15  And We have instructed man with his parents goodness. His mother bore him unwillingly and brought him forth unwillingly; and bearing him and weaning him is thirty months; until when he reaches his strength, and he reaches forty years, he says, 'My Lord, enable me that I may be thankful for Your favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents; and that I may do good works which please You; and make right for me in my offspring; indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of those who submit.'
46:16  Those are the ones from whom We accept the best of what they did, and We overlook their evil deeds, amongst the fellows of the Garden; the promise of truth which they were promised.
46:17  And the one who says to his parents, 'Uff to both of you! Do you promise me that I will be brought forth, and certainly the generations have passed away before me?' And they both seek God’s aid, 'Woe to you! Believe, indeed, the promise of God is true.' Then he says, 'This is not except legends of the former people.'
46:18  Those are the ones against whom the speech concerning nations of the jinn and mankind was due, certainly they passed away before them; indeed, they were losers.
46:19  And for all are degrees of what they did, and that He may pay them in full their works, and they will not be wronged.
46:20  And on the day those who disbelieved will be exposed to the fire: 'You exhausted your good things in your worldly life, and you profited by them; so today you will be recompensed with the punishment of abasement, because you were proud in the earth without the right, and because you were disobedient.'
46:21  And mention the brother of 'Ad when he warned his people in Al Ahqaf, and certainly, the warners had passed away before him and behind him, saying, 'Do not serve except God; indeed, I fear for you a punishment of a great day.'
46:22  They said, 'You came to us to turn us away from our gods? Then come with what you threaten us with, if you are of the truthful.’
46:23  He said, 'The knowledge is only with God; and I convey to you what I am sent with, but I see you are people who are ignorant.'
46:24  And when they saw it, a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, 'This is a cloud to give us rain.' Nay, it is what you sought to hasten, a wind in which is painful punishment,
46:25  Destroying everything by the command of its Lord. And in the morning, nothing was seen except their dwellings; thus We recompense the sinful people.
46:26  And surely, certainly, We established them in what we had not established you in, and We made for them hearing and eyes and hearts; and their hearing and their eyes and their hearts availed them nothing, since they used to deny the signs of God, and what they used to mock at surrounded them.
46:27  And surely, certainly We destroyed what is around you of the towns; and We turned about the signs perhaps they may return.
46:28  So if only those who they took as associate gods besides God had helped them. Nay, they went astray from them; and that was their lie and what they used to forge.
46:29  And when We turned towards you a company of the jinn, to listen to the Quran. And when they were present at it, they said, 'Be silent,' and when it was finished, they turned back to their people, warning.
46:30  They said, 'O our people! Indeed we, we have heard a book sent down after Moses, verifying what is before it, guiding to the truth, and to a straight way.
46:31  O our people! Respond to the caller of God and believe in Him, He will forgive you of your sins and He will protect you from painful punishment.'
46:32  And he who does not respond to the caller of God, then he will not escape in the earth, and there are no patrons for him besides Him; those are in clear error.
46:33  And did they not see that God, the one who created the heavens and the earth, and was not wearied by their creation, is able upon that He gives life to the dead? Yes, indeed, He is powerful over everything.
46:34  And on the day those who disbelieved will be exposed to the fire: 'Is this not the truth?' They will say, 'Yes, by our Lord.' He will say, 'So taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve.'
46:35  So be patient, as the possessors of determination among the messengers were patient; and do not seek to hasten for them. On the day they see what they are promised, as if they had not tarried except an hour of a day. A communication. And will be destroyed except the disobedient people?
