57:1  What is in the heavens and the earth gave glory to God. And He is the Mighty, the Wise.
57:2  For Him is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He gives life and He causes death, and He is powerful over everything.
57:3  He is the First and the Last and the Outward and the Inward; and He knows everything.
57:4  He is the one who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He settled on the throne. He knows what enters into the earth and what comes out of it, and what descends from the heaven and what ascends into it. And He is with you wherever you were. And God sees what you do.
57:5  For Him is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and to God the affairs will be returned.
57:6  He makes the night enter into the day and He makes the day enter into the night. And He knows what the breasts own.
57:7  Believe in God and His Messenger and spend of what He has made you successors in. And those who believed among you and spent, for them is a great reward.
57:8  And what ails you, you do not believe in God? And the messenger calls you to believe in your Lord; and certainly, He has taken your covenant, if you are believers.
57:9  He is the one who sends down clear signs upon His servant that He may bring you out of the darkness to the light. And indeed, God is surely pitying, compassionate with you.
57:10  And what ails you that you do not spend in the way of God? And for God is the inheritance of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you is he who spent before the victory and fought. Those are greater in degree than those who spent after and fought. And all God has promised the best. And God is aware of what you do.
57:11  Who is that, the one who will lend a good loan to God? So He will double it for him, and for him is a noble reward.
57:12  On the day you will see the believers, men and women, their light running before them and on their right. Glad tidings for you today. Gardens beneath which the rivers flow, to dwell forever in it. That, it is the great success.
57:13  On the day the hypocrites, men and women will say to those who believed, 'Wait for us, we will kindle from your light.' It will be said, 'Return behind you, then seek light.' Then a wall will be set forth between them, for it a gate; its interior, in it is the mercy, and its exterior, towards it is the punishment.
57:14  They will call out to them, 'Were we not with you?' They said, 'Yes, but your souls caused you to fall into the trial, and you waited, and you doubted, and the wishful thinking deceived you until the command of God came, and the deceiver deceived you about God.
57:15  So today a ransom will not be taken from you, nor from those who disbelieved. Your abode is the fire; it is your sovereign, and evil is the destination.'
57:16  Is it not time for those who believed that their hearts become humble to the remembrance of God and what He sent down of the truth? And they do not become like those who were given the Book before, then the term was prolonged upon them, then their hearts became hard; and many of them are disobedient.
57:17  Know that God gives the earth life after its death. Certainly, We have made clear for you the signs perhaps you may become intelligent.
57:18  Indeed, those who give charity, men and women, and lent to God a good loan, it will be doubled for them, and for them is a noble reward.
57:19  And those who believed in God and His messengers, those, they are the truthful and the martyrs with their Lord; for them is their reward and their light. And those who disbelieved and said Our signs are lies, those are the fellows of the Hellfire.
57:20  Know that the worldly life is only play, and diversion, and adornment, and boasting between you, and competition about numbers in the wealth and the children. Like a similitude of rain, its plants pleased the sowers; then it withers, and you see it becoming yellow; then it becomes grit. And in the hereafter is severe punishment, and forgiveness from God and pleasure. And the worldly life is not except the provision of deception.
57:21  Race towards forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden, its breadth is as the breadth of the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believed in God and His messengers. That is the grace of God, He gives it to whom He wills, and God is the possessor of great grace.
57:22  No calamity befell in the earth nor in yourselves, except in a book before that We create it. Indeed, that is easy upon God.
57:23  That you may not grieve over what escaped you nor exult for what He gave you. And God does not love every arrogant boaster.
57:24  Those who are stingy and bid mankind stinginess. And whoever turns away, then indeed, God, He is the Rich, the Praiseworthy.
57:25  Surely, certainly We sent Our messengers with the clear proofs; and We sent down with them the Book and the Balance that mankind may stand up for justice. And We sent down iron, in it is intense strength and benefits for mankind, and that God may know who helps Him, and His messengers in the unseen. Indeed, God is strong, mighty.
57:26  And surely, certainly We sent Noah and Abraham; and We put in their offspring the prophethood and the Book; then among them is a guided one, and many of them are disobedient.
57:27  Then We followed upon their footsteps with Our messengers; and We followed with Jesus, the son of Mary; and We gave him the Gospel; and We put in the hearts of those who followed him pity and mercy. And monasticism, they innovated it, We wrote it not upon them, except seeking the pleasure of God; then they observed it not truly its observance. Then We gave those of them who believed their reward; and many of them are disobedient.
57:28  O those who believed! Fear God and believe in His messenger, He will give you double portion of His mercy, and He will make for you a light, you will walk with it, and He will forgive you; and God is forgiving, compassionate.
57:29  That the people of the Book may know that they do not have power over anything of the grace of God, and that the grace is in the hand of God; He gives it to whom He wills; and God is the possessor of great grace.
