They [who will remain without] will call out to those [within], “Were we not with you?” - [to which] the others will answer: “So it was! But you allowed yourselves to succumb to temptation, and you were hesitant [in your faith], and you were doubtful [of resurrection]; and your wishful thinking beguiled you until God’s command came to pass: for, [indeed, your own] deceptive thoughts about God deluded yo

The tormented will cry out to those graced, “Were we not with you?” They will reply, “Yes ˹you were˺. But you chose to be tempted ˹by hypocrisy˺, ˹eagerly˺ awaited ˹our demise˺, doubted ˹the truth˺, and were deluded by false hopes until Allah’s decree ˹of your death˺ came to pass. And ˹so˺ the Chief Deceiver deceived you about Allah.

The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you allowed yourselves to be tempted, and waited and doubted, deceived by wishful thinking until God's command came and the Deceiver deceived you about God."

yunādūnahum alam nakun maʿakum qālū balā walākinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbaṣtum wa-ir'tabtum wagharratkumu l-amāniyu ḥattā jāa amru l-lahi wagharrakum bil-lahi l-gharūr

They will call them, "Were not we with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you led to temptation yourselves and you awaited and you doubted and deceived you the wishful thinking until came (the) Command (of) Allah. And deceived you about Allah the deceiver.

And the Deceiver deceived you in respect of Allah

The hypocrites will call out to the faithful: Were we not on your side? They will reply, Yes, but you gave in to temptation, you wavered and doubted and were deceived by your wishful thinking until God's will was done; then the Deceiver [Satan] misled you about God

They will cry out to them: Were we not with you? They shall say: Yea! but you caused yourselves to fall into temptation, and you waited and doubted, and vain desires deceived you till the threatened punishment of Allah came, while the archdeceiver deceived you about Allah

The hypocrites will cry out to the believers: Have we not been with you? They will say: Yea! And you let yourselves be tempted and you awaited and you were in doubt and you were deluded by following your fantasies until the command of God drew near and the deluder deluded you in regard to God.

They will call out to them: "Were we not with you?" They will say: "Of course, but you tempted one another, and let yourselves waver and doubt. [Your saying] ´Amens´ [to everybody] has deceived you till God´s command came along. The Deceiver has even deluded you concerning God!

(The hypocrites) will call them (believers): “Were we not with you?” They (believers) will reply: “Yes! But you led yourselves into temptations, looked forward (for our destruction), you doubted (in faith); and you were deceived by false desires until the command of Allah came, while the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allah.”

They will call unto them, “Were we not with you?” They reply, “Indeed! But you tempted yourselves, bided your time, and doubted; and false hopes deluded you till the Command of God came, and the Deluder deluded you concerning God

They will call out to them, “Were we not with you?” They will reply, “Yes, but you led yourselves into temptation. You hesitated, doubted, and your desires deluded you, until God’s decree came to pass. And the Deceiver deceived you about God.”

They will call to them, 'Were we not with you?' They will say, 'Yes, but you cheated your souls, and waited, and doubted, and became deluded by wishful thinking, until the command of God arrived; and arrogance deceived you regarding God.'

(The hypocrites will again) call them: “Were we not alongwith you?” (The Believers) said: “Yes! But you led yourselves into temptation, and you hesitated (from accepting Al-Kitab) and you doubted, and (your) vain desires deceived you until the Command of Allah got issued. And the Chief deceiver (i.e., Iblis) deceived you in respect of Allah

They will call out to the believers, saying: "Were we not on your side?" "Yes," they will reply, "but you led yourselves into temptation, you wavered, you doubted, and were deceived by your vain desires until Allah’s command came, while the arch-deceiver (Satan) deceived you concerning Allah till the last moment."

They will be calling out to them, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes indeed, but you tempted yourselves, and you awaited, and you were suspicious, and fancies deluded you until the Command of Allah came, and the Deluder deluded you concerning Allah

(Those outside) will call out, "Were we not with you?" (Those inside) will reply, "Yes, you were with us but you spent your life in disbelief and hypocrisy, wished death to (Muhammad), had doubts about his message and let your longings deceive you until the decree of God came to pass. The devil deceived you about the mercy of God

They (the hypocrites) will call out to them (the believers), .Were we not with you?. They will say, .Yes, (you were,) but you led your souls to a wrong way, and kept waiting (for an evil end to the Muslims), and remained in doubt, and were deluded by fancies, until Allah‘s command came to pass, and you were deceived about Allah by the Big Deceiver (Iblis)

They will cry unto them, "Were we not with you?" The believers will answer, "Yes, verily - but you let your "Self" succumb to temptation. And you tempted one another, hesitated (watching which side was prevailing), and doubted (Allah's promise). And your fantasies misled you until there issued the Command of Allah. And indeed, the deceiver deceived you concerning Allah. (Deceiver = Desire)

They would call the believers (saying), "Were we not with you (in the life of this world)?" The believers would reply, "Of course, but you let yourself be tempted. You waited, (hesitated), and entertained doubts. Your hopes and expectations deceived (and lulled) you, until the decree arrived from Allah. The master deceiver, (the Shaitan), deceived you about Allah!"

(Those hypocrites outside) will call the believers, "Were we not with you?" (The others) will reply, "True! But you led yourselves into temptation; You looked forward (to our destruction); And you doubted (Allah’s Promise); And (your false) desires deceived you; Until the Command of Allah became true. And the Deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect to (Almighty) Allah

The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah . And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah

They will call upon them: "Were we not with you" They will reply: "Yes, but you led yourselves into temptation, and you hesitated, and doubted, and became misled by wishful thinking, until God's judgment came. You were diverted from God by arrogance."

The hypocrites will call out to the believers, ‘Were we not with you?’ They will reply, ‘Yes. But you allowed yourselves to be tempted, you were hesitant, doubtful, deceived by false hopes until God’s command came- the Deceiver tricked you about God

They will cry unto them: have we not been with you? They will say: 'yea ! but ye tempted your souls, and ye Waited, and ye dubitated, and your vain desires beguiled you until the affair of Allah came, and in respect to Allah the beguiler beguiled you

They will call to them: "Were we not with you?" They will answer: "Certainly; but then you let yourselves be tempted, and waited in expectation but were suspicious and were deceived by vain desires, till the decree of God came to pass, and the deceiver duped you in respect of God

They will call out to them, ´Were we not with you?´ They will reply, ´Indeed you were. But you made trouble for yourselves and hung back and and doubted and false hopes deluded you until Allah´s command arrived. The Deluder deluded you about Allah.

They (the hypocrites) will call out to the believers: "Were we not with you (in the world)?" They will reply: "True! But you (willfully) put yourselves in the way of temptation, and hesitated and doubted (waiting on events to choose which side to be on and not assuming yourselves to stand by the truth of Islam), and false expectations (that God’s Religion would one day be defeated) deluded you, until God’s decree (of death) came to you; and the deluder (Satan) deluded you (with wrong conceptions) about God

They will call out to them, ‘Did we not use to be with you?’ They will say, ‘Yes! But you cast yourselves into temptation, and you awaited and were doubtful, and [false] hopes deceived you until the edict of Allah arrived, and the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah

They will cry unto them, "Were we not with you?" They shall say, "Yea! But you caused yourselves to fall into temptation, and you waited and doubted, and vain desires deceived you till the ordinance (punishment) of Allah came, while the Ar

They (the disbelievers) call on them (the believers:) “Were we not with you?” They will say: “Yes, but you tempted yourselves and you waited and you doubted, and wishful thinking deceived you until God’s command came and the deceiver (Satan) deceived you about God.

Those without will call out, “Were we not with you?” The others will reply, “True, but you led yourselves into temptation, you looked forward but you doubted, and your desires deceived you, until there issued the command of God, and the Deceiver deceived you in respect to God

The hypocrites will then call to the believers: “Weren’t we with you?” “Yes, but you succumbed to your temptations, you were hesitant to believe, full of doubts, and you were deceived by false hopes until the Divine Command came. The deceiver deceived you!

The hypocrites will call out to the believers: "Were we not with you?" The believers will reply: "Yes; but you allowed yourselves to succumb to temptations, and you wavered and you remained in doubt and false expectations deluded you until Allah´s command came to pass, and the Deluder deluded you concerning Allah

They will call upon them: "Were we not with you?" They will reply: "Yes, but you led yourselves into temptation, and you hesitated, and doubted, and became misled by wishful thinking, until the judgment of God came. You were diverted from God by arrogance.

The hypocrites call out to the believers, "Were we not on your side?" The believers reply, "Yes, but you gave in to temptation, you wavered and doubted and you were deceived by your wishful thinking until Allah's will was done; and then the Deceiver [Satan] misled you about Allah."

The hypocrites will call the muslims, saying, 'were we not with you?' They will say, 'why not, you put your souls in temptation and looked out for the evils of muslims and doubted and your vain desires deceived you till the decree of Allah came and the great Deceiver deceived you regarding the decree of Allah.

They will call upon them, "Were we not with you?" They will answer, "Yes, but you cheated your souls, hesitated, doubted, and became misled by wishful thinking, until GOD's judgment came. You were diverted from GOD by illusions.

They will call out to them, saying: 'Were we not with you? ' 'Yes, ' they will reply, 'but you tempted yourselves, you waited (for problems to befall thebelievers), and you doubted, and were deluded by your own fancies until the Command of Allah came, and the deluder (satan) deluded you concerning Allah

They will cry out to them: Were we not with you? They will say: Yea, but you caused yourselves to fall into temptation, and you waited and doubted, and vain desires deceived you, till the threatened punishment of Allah came, and the arch-deceiver deceived you about Allah

They call them: "Where we not being with you?" They said: "Yes/certainly and but you, you tested/misguided yourselves, and you waited/remained , and you became doubtful/suspicious, and the wishes/desires have deceived/tempted you until God's order/command came, and the deceit/temptation deceived/tempted you with God."

They will cry out to the believers: “Were we not with you [in all religious activities]?” The believers will reply:…

The hypocrites will call out to the Muslims, “Were we not with you?”; they will answer, “Yes you were, why not? But you had put your souls into trial, and you used to await misfortune for the Muslims, and you doubted, and false hopes deceived you until Allah’s command came - and the big cheat had made you conceited towards the command of Allah.”

The hypocrites will call out to believers saying, `Were we not with you?' The believers will answer, `Yea, but you let yourselves fall into temptation and you hesitated and doubted and your vain desires deceived you till the decree of ALLAH came to pass. And the deceiver deceived you concerning ALLAH

They (the hypocrites) will call out those (believers), saying: ‘Were we not in your company (in the world)?’ They will say: ‘Yes indeed! But you troubled yourselves with the disruption (of hypocrisy) and used to wait (for our woe and destruction). And you doubted (the Prophethood of Muhammad [blessings and peace be upon him] and the Din [Religion of Islam]), and your false hopes deceived you till the command of Allah (i.e., death) reached, and the Arch-Deceiver (Satan) kept deluding you about Allah

These (hypocrites) will call out to these (believers), `Were we not with you (in the worldly life)?' They will reply, `Yes, but you let yourselves fall into temptations and you waited (uselessly for our destruction), and you doubted (about the truth). Infact, your vain desires deceived you till the decree of Allah (about your punishment) came to be implemented. And the arch-deceiver deceived you in respect of Allah

(The hypocrites) will call the believers: "Were we not with you?" The believers will reply: "Yes! But you led yourselves into temptations, you looked forward for our destruction; you doubted (in Faith); and you were deceived by false desires, till the Command of Allah came to pass. And the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allah."

They shall be calling unto them, 'Were we not with you?' They shall say, 'Yes indeed; but you tempted yourselves, and you awaited, and you were in doubt, and fancies deluded you, until God's commandment came, and the Deluder deluded you concerning God

The hypocrites shall call out unto the true believers, saying, were we not with you? They shall answer, yea; but ye seduced your own souls by your hypocrisy: And ye waited our ruin; and ye doubted concerning the faith; and your wishes deceived you, until the decree of God came, and ye died: And the deceiver deceived you concerning God

They shall cry out to them, 'We were not with you!' they shall say, 'Yea, but ye did tempt yourselves, and did wait, and did doubt; and your vain hopes beguiled you; and the beguiler beguiled you about God

They shall cry to them, "Were we not with you?" They shall say, "Yes! but ye led yourselves into temptation, and ye delayed, and ye doubted, and the good things ye craved deceived you, till the doom of God arrived: - and the deceiver deceived you in regard to God."

They will call out to them, saying: ‘Were we not on your side?‘ ‘Yes,‘ they will reply, ‘but you tempted yourselves, you bided your time, you doubted, and were seduced by vain desires until God‘s will was done and the Dissembler misled you about God

They will cry out unto them, “Were we not with you?” They will say, “yes indeed. But you brought tribulation upon yourselves and you procrastinated and you doubted and the false hopes deluded you till the commandment of Allah came and the deceiver deceived you about Allah”

They will cry unto the Monotheistic Believers: “Did we not use to be with you (in the worldly life)?” They will reply: “Yea, but you let yourselves fall into temptation, longed for our destruction, cast doubts on (the Resurrection), and allowed your whims to delude you, until there came the command of Allâh. So (You allowed) the Arch deceiver- (Satan)- to deceive you concerning Allâh.”

They will call them: were we not with you? They will say: sure, but you corrupted yourselves and waited and doubted, and hopes mislead you until Allah´s command came to pass, and passing provisions mislead you about Allah.

They call to them, “Were we not with you?” They said, “Yes, but you tempted yourselves and waited and doubted and became deceived by fancies until the command of Allah arrived, and the deceiver deceived you regarding Allah.

(Those on the punishment side) will call, “Were we not with you?” (Those receiving mercy) will reply, “Yes, but you led yourselves into temptation. You hesitated [in your faith]. You were in doubt [about Allah], and your desires deceived you. Finally, a command came from Allah. The deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.

They will call out to them: "Were we not with you?" They will say: "Of course, but you tempted one another, and let yourselves waver and doubt. You were deceived by [false] desires till Allah (God)'s command came along. The Deceiver (Satan) has even deluded you concerning Allah (God)!

They call them, “Were we not with you?” They said, “Yes, but you infatuated yourselves, and lurking, and doubted, and deluded by the wishful thinking, until Allah’s command came; and the vanity deluded you with Allah.”

They will call to them, “were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, indeed, but you seduced your own selves, you lay in wait, and you doubted, and desires deceived you, until there came the decree of God, and the Deceiver deceived you about God.

They (the hypocrites) will say (to the believers), “Were we not with you?” They will say, “Yes, but you succumbed to provocation (did not experience faith) until there came the command of Allah (death), and you continuously monitored and fell into doubt, and your delusions deceived you and the great deceiver (the conditioned mind) deceived you with Allah (deluded you with the idea that since you are of Him you are free to do whatever you desire)!”

The (hypocrites) will call out to the (believers), “Were we not with you?” They will say, “Why not! but you yourselves fell into temptation and you hesitated and doubted and your desires deceived you till the command of Allah came, and the deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.”

Then they -the hypocrites- call out to those who are blessed and say to them: "Had we not been together Here and Hereafter and together we attended assemblies of prayers and pilgrimage and together we fought". Indeed we were together, say the virtuous "but you counseled deaf and you closed your hearts' ears and your minds' eyes and did not keep back from the forbidden. You were illuded with the false hopes that gratifying your appetite was something instinctively felt to be right and fair, and with Satanic deceit you had forgotten calling Allah to mind."

(Those without) will call out, "Were we not with you?" (The others) will reply, "True! but ye led yourselves into temptation; ye looked forward (to our ruin); ye doubted (God's Promise); and (your false) desires deceived you; until there issue d the Command of God. And the Deceiver deceived you in respect of God

They will call them, "Were not we with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you led to temptation yourselves and you awaited and you doubted and deceived you the wishful thinking until came (the) Command (of) Allah. And deceived you about Allah the deceiver
