35:1  Praise be to God, the originator of the heavens and the earth; who makes the angels messengers possessors of wings, two or three or four; He increases in creation what He wills; indeed, God is powerful over everything.
35:2  What God opens to mankind of mercy, then none can withhold it; and what He withholds, then none can send if forth after Him; And He is the Mighty, the Wise.
35:3  O mankind! Remember the favours of God upon you; is there any creator besides God, who provides for you from the sky and the earth? There is no god but He; so how are you turned away?
35:4  And if they call you liar, then certainly, messengers were called liars before you, and to God affairs return.
35:5  O mankind! Indeed, God's promise is true; so let not the worldly life deceive you, and let not the deceiver deceive you about God.
35:6  Indeed, the devil is to you an enemy, so take him as an enemy; he only calls his party to be among the fellows of the blaze.
35:7  Those who disbelieved, for them is severe punishment. And those who believed and did good works, for them is forgiveness and a great reward.
35:8  Then is he who the evil of his deed is beautified for him, so that he looks upon it as good? And indeed, God leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills; so let not your soul go out in regret for them; indeed, God knows what they do.
35:9  And God is the one who sends the winds, and they stir up a cloud, and We drive it to a dead land and We give life therewith the earth after its death. Thus is the resurrection.
35:10  Whoever desires honour, honour altogether belongs to God; to Him the good word ascends, and the good work, He raises it; and those who plot the evil deeds, for them is severe punishment, and the plotting of those, it is in vain.
35:11  And God created you from dust, then from a sperm; then He made you pairs; and no female bears nor brings forth, except with His knowledge; and no aged person is lengthened in life, nor is his life diminished, except in a Book; indeed, that is easy unto God.
35:12  And the two seas are not equal: this agreeable, sweet, its drink is easy to swallow, and this salt, bitter. And from each you eat fresh meat, and bring forth ornaments which you wear; and you may see the ships cleave through it, that you may seek of His grace, and perhaps you may give thanks.
35:13  He makes the night to enter into the day and makes the day to enter into the night; and He subjects the sun and the moon, each runs on to a named term. That is God, your Lord. His is the kingdom; but those you call on besides Him do not possess the husk of a date seed.
35:14  If you call upon them they hear not your call, and if they hear they cannot answer you; and on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association; and none can inform you like one who is aware.
35:15  O mankind! You are the needy to God. And God He is the Rich, the Praiseworthy.
35:16  If He wills, He will remove you, and bring a new creation;
35:17  And that is not mighty on God.
35:18  And no burdened soul shall bear the burden of another; and if a heavily laden one calls to its load, nothing of it shall be carried, even though he is a relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in the unseen and who are steadfast in the prayer; and whoever purifies himself, purifies himself only for his soul; and to God is the destination.
35:19  And not equal are the blind and the seeing,
35:20  Nor darkness and the light,
35:21  Nor the shade and the heat,
35:22  And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, God causes whom He wills to hear, and you cannot make those who are in the graves hear;
35:23  You are not except a warner.
35:24  Indeed, We have sent you with the truth, a herald of glad tidings and a warner; and there is no nation but a warner has passed away in it.
35:25  And if they deny you, then certainly, those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with the clear proofs, and with the scriptures, and with the illuminating Book.
35:26  Then I seized those who disbelieved, and how was My disapproval.
35:27  Do you not see that God sends down from the heaven water, and We bring forth therewith fruits, their colours are different? And among the mountains are tracks: white and red, their colours are different, and intensely black.
35:28  And of mankind and the creatures and the cattle, its colours are different. Thus. Only those of His servants who have knowledge fear God; indeed, God is mighty, forgiving.
35:29  Indeed, those who recite the Book of God, and are steadfast in prayer, and spend of what We have provided them, in secret and in public, hope for a commerce that shall not come to nothing;
35:30  That He may pay them in full their wages, and give them increase of His grace; indeed, He is forgiving, grateful.
35:31  And that which We have inspired you with of the Book it is the truth, verifying what was before it; indeed, God of His servants surely is aware, seeing.
35:32  Then We gave the Book for an inheritance to those whom We chose of Our servants, and of them is he who wrongs himself, and of them is he who is moderate, and of them is he who is foremost in good works with the permission of God; that it is the great grace.
35:33  Gardens of Eden, shall they enter, adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls; and their garments therein shall be silk;
35:34  And they shall say, 'Praise be to God, the one who has removed from us grief; indeed, our Lord is surely forgiving, grateful.
35:35  The one who has made us alight in an enduring abode of His grace, therein no fatigue shall touch us, nor shall weariness therein touch us.'
35:36  And those who disbelieve, for them is the fire of Hell; it shall not be decreed for them to die, nor shall its punishment be lightened for them; thus We reward every disbeliever.
35:37  And they shall cry out therein, 'Our Lord! Bring us out, we will do right, not what we used to do.' Did We not lengthen you in life, that in which whoever remembered would remember? And there came to you the warner. So taste, for the wrongdoers there is no helper.
35:38  Indeed, God knows the unseen of the heavens and the earth; indeed, He knows what the breasts own.
35:39  He is the one who made you vicegerents in the earth, and whoever disbelieves, then upon him is his disbelief; and their disbelief does not increase the disbelievers with their Lord except in hatred; and their disbelief does not increase the disbelievers except in loss.
35:40  Say, 'Have you considered your associates whom you call on besides God?' Show me what they created of the earth; or have they a share in the heavens, or have We given them a book so they are on a clear proof from it? Nay, the wrongdoers, some of them promise some not except deception.
35:41  Indeed, God holds the heavens and the earth lest they decline; and surely, if they decline there is none to hold them after Him; indeed, He is clement, forgiving.
35:42  And they swore with God the utmost of their oaths, surely, if a warner comes to them, they would surely, definitely be more guided than any of the nations; then when a warner came to them, it did not increase them except in aversion,
35:43  Being proud in the land, and plotting evil; and the evil plot does not surround except its people; so do they wait except for the course of the former people? But you shall not find any change in the course of God; and you shall not find any alteration in the course of God.
35:44  Have they not travelled in the land and seen how was the end of those before them? And they were stronger than them in might. And God, there is nothing in the heavens nor in the earth that can frustrate Him. Indeed, He is knowing, powerful.
35:45  And if God should chastise mankind for what they have earned, He would not leave on its back any creature; but He respites them to a named term. And when their term comes, then indeed, God sees His servants.
