And among them (are some) who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given the knowledge, "What (has) he said just now?" Those - (are) the ones has set a seal Allah upon their hearts and they follow their desires.

Now among those [hapless sinners] are such as [pretend to] listen to thee, [O Muhammad,] and then, as soon as they leave thy presence, speak [with scorn] unto those who have understood [thy message]: “What is it that he has said just now?” It is such as these whose hearts God has sealed because they [always] followed but their own lust
Among them are some who give ear unto thee (Muhammad) till, when they go forth from thy presence they say unto those who have been given knowledge: What was that he said just now? Those are they whose hearts Allah hath sealed, and they follow their own lusts
And among them are men who listen to thee, but in the end, when they go out from thee, they say to those who have received Knowledge, "What is it he said just then?" Such are men whose hearts Allah has sealed, and who follow their own lusts
And there are those of them who seek to listen to you, until when they go forth from you, they say to those who have been given the knowledge: What was it that he said just now? These are they upon whose hearts Allah has set a seal and they follow their low desires
Among them are those who listen to you, but then, when they leave your presence, say to those who have been given knowledge [Scripture], What was that he just said? Such are those whose hearts God has sealed, and who follow their own base desires
And among them are some who listen to thee until when they went forth from thee. They said to those who were given the knowledge: What was that he said just now? Those are those upon whose hearts God set a seal. And they followed their own desires.
Some of them listen to you until once they have left your presence, they tell those who have been given knowledge: "What did he say just now?" Those are the ones whose hearts God has sealed off, they follow their own whims.
There are some of them who listen to you ˹O Prophet˺, but when they depart from you, they say ˹mockingly˺ to those ˹believers˺ gifted with knowledge, “What did he just say?” These are the ones whose hearts Allah has sealed and who ˹only˺ follow their desires.
Among them are those who listen to you, but when they leave you, they say to those given knowledge, "What was that he just said?" Those are the ones whose hearts God has sealed. They follow their own whims and desires.
And among them there are some who listen to you (O Muhammad) till, when they go out from you, they say to those who have received knowledge: “What has he said just now?” Such are those Allah has sealed on their hearts and they follow their lusts (evil desires).
Among them are those who listen unto thee. Then when they depart from thee they say to those who have been given knowledge, “What did he say?” It is they whose hearts God has sealed and who follow their caprices
And some of them listen to you, until when they go out from you, they say to those who have been given the knowledge: "What did he say" Those are the ones whom God has sealed upon their hearts, and they followed their desires
Some of these people listen to you [Prophet], but, once they leave your presence, they sneer at those who have been given knowledge, saying, ‘What was that he just said?’ These are the ones whose hearts God has sealed, those who follow their own desires
Of them are some who listen to thee, until, when they go forth from before thee, they say Unto those who have been vouchsafed knowledge, what is that he hath said just now? Those are they whose hearts Allah hath sealed up and they follow their lusts
There are some who listen to you; but as soon as they go from you they say to those who were given knowledge: "What is this he is saying now?" They are those whose hearts have been sealed by God, and they follow their own lusts
Among them are those who listen to you and then, when they leave your presence, say to those who have been given knowledge, ´What was that he just said?´ They are those whose hearts Allah has sealed up and who follow their own desires.
Among them (the people of Madinah) are some who give ear to you, but when they go out from your presence, they ask (with arrogance and derision) those who have been given (some) knowledge (of the truths of the Religion): "What has he said just now?" Those are they whose hearts God has sealed, and who follow their lusts and fancies
There are some among them who prick up their ears at you. But when they go out from your presence, they say to those who have been given knowledge, ‘What did he say just now?’ They are the ones on whose hearts Allah has set a seal, and they follow their own desires
And there are those of them who seek to listen to you, until when they go forth from you, they say to those who have been given the knowledge, "What was it that he said just now?" These are they upon whose heart Allah has set a seal and they fo
And among them are (the ones) who listen to you, until, when they go out of your presence, they say to (the ones) to whom was brought knowledge, "What did he say just now?" Those are they upon whose hearts Allah has stamped, (i.e., impressed or set a seal) and they have closely followed their prejudices
(Muhammad), some of them listen to you, but when they leave you they ask those who have received knowledge, "What did he say a few moments ago?" God has sealed the hearts of such people who have followed their worldly desires
Among them there are ones who (pretend to) give ear to you, until when they go out from your presence, they say to those who have been given knowledge, .What did he say just now?. Those are the ones on whose hearts Allah has put a seal, and they have followed their desires
(O Messenger) Among them are some who pretend to listen to you, and then, as soon as they leave your presence, they ask others who have received knowledge, "What was it that he just said?" Such are the ones whose hearts Allah has sealed, for their minds are always contemplating ways to fulfill their desires. (4:155), (10:74), (16:106), (17:45), (47:24), (83:14)
And among them are men who listen to you, but in the end, when they go away from you, they say to those who have received knowledge, "What is it he said just then?" Such are men whose hearts Allah has sealed, because they follow their own (evil) wishes
And among them, [O Muhammad], are those who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given knowledge, "What has he said just now?" Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires
Some of them indeed listen to you but no sooner do they leave your presence than they ask those endowed with knowledge: "What was it that he said just now?" Such are the men upon whose hearts Allah has set a seal, and who follow their own desires

And among them are those who [apparently] listen to you, [O Muhammad,] and then, as soon as they leave you, say despisingly to those endowed with knowledge, "What is it that he [Muhammad] has said?" It is such as these whose hearts Allah has sealed; and they have followed but their own lusts
Controversial, deprecated, or status undetermined works
Some disbelievers listen to your sermons and, after they leave, they jokingly, ask: “What in the Heaven was he talking about?” God [in response to their jokes] seals their heart and, in consequence, they will follow their lowly desires

And from them who hears/listens to you until when they got out/emerged (left) from at you, they said to those who were given/brought the knowledge: "What (did) he say previously/from a short while ?"Those are, those who God stamped/sealed on their hearts/minds , and they followed their self attractions for desires
And among them are some who seems to listen to thee till, when they go forth from thy presence, they say to those who have been given knowledge, `What has he been talking about just now?' These are they upon whose hearts ALLAH has set a seal, and who follow their own evil desires
Some of them listen to you, then as soon as they leave they ask those who were enlightened, "What did he just say?" GOD thus seals their hearts and, consequently, they follow only their opinions.

And among them are some who listen to you (O Muhammad SAW) till, when they go out from you, they say to those who have received knowledge: "What has he said just now? Such are men whose hearts Allah has sealed, and they follow their lusts (evil desires)
And some of them there are give ear to thee, till, when they go forth from thee, they say to those who have been given knowledge, 'What said he just now?' Those are they upon whose hearts God has set a seal, and they have followed their caprices
Some of them there are who listen to thee, until when they go forth from thee they say to those who have been given the knowledge, 'What is this which he says now?' These are those on whose hearts God his set a stamp and who follow their lusts
Of the unbelievers there are some who give ear unto thee, until, when they go out from thee, they say, by way of derision, unto those to whom knowledge hath been given, what hath he said now? These are they whose hearts God hath sealed up, and who follow their own lusts
Some of them indeed hearken to thee, until when they go out from thee, they say with sneers to those to whom "the knowledge" hath been given, "What is this he said?" These are they whose hearts God hath sealed up, and who follow their own lusts
Some of them indeed listen to you, but no sooner do they leave your presence than they ask those endowed with knowledge: ‘What did he say just now?‘ Such are the those whose hearts are sealed by God, and who follow their base desires

Among (the lost) are those who listen to you [O Prophet], but finally, when they depart from you, they say to those who have received knowledge, “About what was he talking just now?” Allah has sealed their hearts, and they follow their own desires.
And some of them will (come and) listen to you... And when they leave they will say to those to whom the knowledge has been given, “What did he just say?” (They will not understand!) They are the ones whose hearts Allah has sealed (locked their consciousness) who follow baseless desires and amusements.
Al-muntakhab fi tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim
Among your listeners O Muhammad are those who are hypocrites. They apparently incline their ears to you while their hearts' ears are closed, and when they leave at the end of your discourse of instructions and exhortation, they, in a cunning manner, ask your faithful associates who have intellectual acquaintance with facts: "What was it that he -Muhammad- has just said?" These are they whose hearts has Allah impressed with dullness of comprehension and they followed their own lustful course and a religion of a sensuous character
And among them are those who seek to hear you until when they go out from your presence, (then) they say to those who have been given knowledge, “What was it that he said just now?” Those are the persons on whose hearts Allah has set a seal and they follow their desires.
