Behold, they could never be of any avail to thee if thou wert to defy the will of God for, verily, such evildoers are but friends and protectors of one another, whereas God is the Protector of all who are conscious of Him
Lo! they can avail thee naught against Allah. And lo! as for the wrong-doers, some of them are friends of others; and Allah is the Friend of those who ward off (evil)
They will be of no use to thee in the sight of Allah: it is only Wrong-doers (that stand as) protectors, one to another: but Allah is the Protector of the Righteous
Surely they shall not avail you in the least against Allah; and surely the unjust are friends of each other, and Allah is the guardian of those who guard (against evil)

They cannot help you at all against GOD. It is the transgressors who ally themselves with one another, while GOD is the Lord of the righteous.

Undoubtedly, they will avail you nothing against Allah. And verily, the unjust people are friends to one another. And the mend of God-fearing is Allah.
Verily, they can be of no avail to you against (the displeasure of) Allah. Surely, the wrongdoers are helping-friends one of the other, but Allah is the helping-friend of those who have become secure against evil
Surely, these people will not be of any help to you at all (despite promises) from Allah (for crucial time of hardships coming in the way of Islam). And in truth, the wrongdoers (in the world) are friends and helpers only to one another and Allah is the Friend and Helper of the Godfearing
Verily, they can avail you nothing against Allah (if He wants to punish you). Verily, the Zalimoon (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) are Auliya (protectors, helpers, etc.) to one another, but Allah is the Walee (Helper, Protector, etc.) of the Muttaqoon (pious - see V.2:2)
For against God shall they avail thee nothing. And in sooth, the doers of evil are one another's patrons; but the patron of them that fear Him is God himself
Indeed, those (ideas that are not based on the reality) will not give you (your consciousness) any benefit from Allah (His Names comprising your essence)! The wrongdoers are friends of one another! But Allah is the friend (Waliyy) of those who protect themselves!
Al-muntakhab fi tafsir al-Qur'an al-Karim
They are of no advantage to you nor can they avail you protection from Allah's punishment. In fact the perverse who are wrongful of actions joined in mutual intimacy, whereas Allah is the friend and protector of those who are eminent in piety; they enjoy His special favour
they will certainly not make you independent of any from Allah. And those who are unjust are friends of each other, while Allah is the Guardian of those who guard (against evil).
