And [every time] the great ones among his people, who refused to acknowledge the truth and gave the lie to the announcement of a life to come - [simply] because We had granted them ease and plenty in [their] worldly life, and they had become corrupted by it [every time] they would say: “This [man] is nothing hut a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat, and drinking of what you drink
And the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and whom We had made soft in the life of the world, said: This is only a mortal like you, who eateth of that whereof ye eat and drinketh of that ye drink
And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink
And the chiefs of his people who disbelieved and called the meeting of the hereafter a lie, and whom We had given plenty to enjoy in this world's life, said: This is nothing but a mortal like yourselves, eating of what you eat from and drinking of what you drink
But the leaders of his people who denied the truth and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, because We had granted them ease and plenty in their worldly life, said, This is only a human being like yourselveshe eats what you eat, and drinks what you drin
And said the Council of his folk to those who were ungrateful and denied the meeting in the world to come, and to whom We gave ease in this present life: This is nothing but a mortal like you. He eats of what you eat and he drinks of what you drink.
The elders among his people who disbelieved and denied there would be any meeting in the Hereafter, even though We had granted them every luxury during worldly life, said: "This is only a human being like yourselves; he eats what you eat, and drinks what you drink.
But the chiefs of his people—who disbelieved, denied the meeting ˹with Allah˺ in the Hereafter, and were spoiled by the worldly luxuries We had provided for them—said ˹to the masses˺, “This is only a human like you. He eats what you eat, and drinks what you drink.
But the leaders among his people, who denied the truth and denied the encounter with the Hereafter, and to whom We had given ease and plenty in this worldly, life said, "This is only a man like you, who eats what you eat and drinks what you drink
The chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and whom We had given them luxuries and comforts of this worldly life, said: “This is not but a human being like you, he eats of that which you eat, and he drinks of what you drink.
And the notables of his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and unto whom We had given luxury in the life of this world, said, “This is but a human being like you, eating of what you eat, and drinking from what you drink
And the leaders from amongst his people who rejected and denied the meeting of the Hereafter; and We indulged them in this worldly life; said: "What is this but a human like you He eats from what you eat and he drinks from what you drink."
But the leading disbelievers among his people, who denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, to whom We had granted ease and plenty in this life, said, ‘He is just a mortal like you- he eats what you eat and drinks what you drink
And said the chiefs of those who disbelieved among his people and belied the meeting of the Hereafter and whom We had luxuriated in the life of the World: this is no other than a human being like unto you: he eateth of that whereof ye eat, and he drinketh of that which ye drink
The chiefs of the people who did not believe and denied the life to come, though We had given them good things of this life to enjoy, (said): "He is only a mortal like you. He eats as you do, and drinks as you drink
The ruling circle of his people — those who were kafir and denied the encounter of the Next World and whom We had given opulence in this world — said, ´This is nothing but a human being like yourselves. who eats what you eat and drinks what you drink.
The leading ones from among his people – who disbelieved, and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and to whom We granted ease and comfort in the life of this world – said: "This is but a mortal like you, eating of what you eat of, and drinking of what you drink of
Said the elite of his people, who were faithless and who denied the encounter of the Hereafter and whom We had given affluence in the life of the world: ‘This is just a human being like you: he eats what you eat, and drinks what you drink
Said the chiefs of the people who disbelieved, and denied the meeting in the Hereafter, and to whom We gave enjoyment in the life of this world, "This is only a mortal like yourselves, who eats of what you eat, and drinks of what you drink
And said the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and cried lies to the meeting of the Hereafter, and whom We had caused to live in luxury in the present life, (Literally: the lowly life, i.e., the life of this word) "In no way is this anything except a mortal like yourselves; he eats of whatever you eat and drinks of whatever you drink
A group of his people who disbelieved him and had called the Day of Judgment a lie and whom We had made prosperous in this life, said, "He is a mere mortal like you. He eats and drinks as you do
Then said the chiefs of his nation who were disbelievers and who denied facing the Hereafter and whom We made affluent in the worldly life, .This (man) is nothing but a human being. He eats from what you eat from, and drinks from what you drink
(And invariably) it was their leaders who refused to acknowledge the Truth and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter. Simply because We had granted them ease and plenty in their worldly life. Every time such people would say, "This is only a man like you who eats what you eat and drinks as you drink
And the leaders of his people, who disbelieved and denied the meeting in the Hereafter, and to whom We had granted the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: He eats from that of which you eat, and drinks from what you drink
And the eminent among his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the worldly life said, "This is not but a man like yourselves. He eats of that from which you eat and drinks of what you drink
But the chiefs of his people - who disbelieved the message and denied the life in the hereafter, - on whom We had bestowed affluence in this worldly life, said: "This person is but a human like you; he eats of what you eat and drinks of what you drink

And the leaders of those among his people who suppressed the Truth and considered the appointment in the hereafter a lie, and to whom We had afforded ease and comfort in the life this world, said, "This is none but a man like you! He eats of what you eat from and drinks of what you drink."

A disbeliever leader of them who had rejected the Hereafter (in spite of having received a good portion in this world) said: “This guy is a human being like yourselves. He eats the same thing that you eat and drinks the same thing that you drink!&rdquo

But the unbelieving elders of his people, who denied the life to come and on whom We had lavished the good things of this life, said: ‘This man is but a mortal like yourselves, nourished by the same food and drink

then We sent among them a messenger from among themselves (saying), "Serve Allah, there is no god for you other than Him. Will you not then guard (against the evil of worshipping others)?"
