| Arabic | | وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ وَلَا تَنقُصُوا الْمِكْيَالَ وَالْمِيزَانَ إِنِّي أَرَاكُم بِخَيْرٍ وَإِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ مُّحِيط |  |

| other than Him. | | ghayruhu | | غَيْرُهُ | | غ ى ر | |
| decrease | | tanquṣū | | تَنْقُصُوا | | ن ق ص | |
| (from) the measure | | l-mik'yāla | | الْمِكْيَالَ | | ك ى ل | |
| and the scale. | | wal-mīzāna | | وَالْمِيزَانَ | | و ز ن | |
| see you | | arākum | | أَرَاكُمْ | | ر ا ى | |
| in prosperity, | | bikhayrin | | بِخَيْرٍ | | خ ى ر | |
| but indeed, I | | wa-innī | | وَإِنِّي | | ا ن ن | |
| for you | | ʿalaykum | | عَلَيْكُمْ | | ع ل ى | |
| punishment | | ʿadhāba | | عَذَابَ | | ع ذ ب | |
| (of) a Day | | yawmin | | يَوْمٍ | | ى و م | |
| all-encompassing. | | muḥīṭin | | مُحِيطٍ | | ح و ط | |
