| Arabic | | قُلْ أَنَدْعُو مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُنَا وَلَا يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ كَالَّذِي اسْتَهْوَتْهُ الشَّيَاطِينُ فِي الْأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُ أَصْحَابٌ يَدْعُونَهُ إِلَى الْهُدَى ائْتِنَا قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللَّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَىٰ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِين |  |

| and we turn back | | wanuraddu | | وَنُرَدُّ | | ر د د | |
| our heels | | aʿqābinā | | أَعْقَابِنَا | | ع ق ب | |
| has guided us | | hadānā | | هَدَانَا | | ه د ى | |
| Like the one | | ka-alladhī | | كَالَّذِي | | ا ل ل ذ ى | |
| whom has enticed | | is'tahwathu | | اسْتَهْوَتْهُ | | ه و ى | |
| the Shaitaan | | l-shayāṭīnu | | الشَّيَاطِينُ | | ش ط ن | |
| the earth, | | l-arḍi | | الْأَرْضِ | | ا ر ض | |
| confused, | | ḥayrāna | | حَيْرَانَ | | ح ى ر | |
| companions | | aṣḥābun | | أَصْحَابٌ | | ص ح ب | |
| who call him | | yadʿūnahu | | يَدْعُونَهُ | | د ع و | |
| the guidance, | | l-hudā | | الْهُدَى | | ه د ى | |
| 'Come to us.'" | | i'tinā | | ائْتِنَا | | ا ت ى | |
| (the) Guidance | | hudā | | هُدَى | | ه د ى | |
| (of) Allah, | | l-lahi | | اللَّهِ | | ا ل ه | |
| (is) the Guidance, | | l-hudā | | الْهُدَى | | ه د ى | |
| and we have been commanded | | wa-umir'nā | | وَأُمِرْنَا | | ا م ر | |
| that we submit | | linus'lima | | لِنُسْلِمَ | | س ل م | |
| to (the) Lord | | lirabbi | | لِرَبِّ | | ر ب ب | |
| (of) the worlds | | l-ʿālamīna | | الْعَالَمِينَ | | ع ل م | |
