| Arabic | | وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِي ظُفُرٍ وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَا إِلَّا مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُهُمَا أَوِ الْحَوَايَا أَوْ مَا اخْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍ ذَٰلِكَ جَزَيْنَاهُم بِبَغْيِهِمْ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُون |  |

| their fat | shuḥūmahumā | شُحُومَهُمَا | ش ح م | |
| carried | ḥamalat | حَمَلَتْ | ح م ل | |
| their backs | ẓuhūruhumā | ظُهُورُهُمَا | ظ ه ر | |
| the entrails | l-ḥawāyā | الْحَوَايَا | ح و ى | |
| (is) joined | ikh'talaṭa | اخْتَلَطَ | خ ل ط | |
| with the bone. | biʿaẓmin | بِعَظْمٍ | ع ظ م | |
| (is) their recompense | jazaynāhum | جَزَيْنَاهُمْ | ج ز ى | |
| for their rebellion. | bibaghyihim | بِبَغْيِهِمْ | ب غ ى | |
| And indeed, We | wa-innā | وَإِنَّا | ا ن ن | |
| [surely] are truthful. | laṣādiqūna | لَصَادِقُونَ | ص د ق | |
