Today's Ayat for Wednesday, 2019-05-22 / 17 Ramadan 1440

Each has guardian angels before him and behind him, who watch him at God's command. God does not change the condition of a peoples lot, unless they change what is in their hearts. But when God decrees punishment for a people, none can ward it off. Besides Him, they have no protector.

لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِّن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ

God would never withdraw a favour that He had conferred upon a people unless they change what is in their hearts. God is all hearing and all-knowing.

Twice our Creator reminds us that our selves and our actions are reflected in His help
We are told this both positively and negatively
His blessings are bestowed when we make the effort to change ourselves for the good
His blessings can be removed should we change ourselves for the worse

Today's Ayat for Wednesday, 2019-03-27 / 20 Rajab 1440

O YOU who have attained to faith! No men shall deride [other] men: it may well be that those [whom they deride] are better than themselves; and no women [shall deride other] women: it may well be that those [whom they deride] are better than themselves. And neither shall you defame one another, nor insult one another by [opprobrious] epithets: evil is all imputation of iniquity after [one has attained to] faith; and they who [become guilty thereof and] do not repent - it is they, they who are evildoers!

Another's actions may require evaluation in many circumstances
