walaqad ātaynā ib'rāhīma rush'dahu min qablu wakunnā bihi ʿālimīn
And verily, We gave Ibrahim his guidance from before, and We were about him Well-Knowing.
AND, INDEED, long before [the time of Moses] We vouchsafed unto Abraham his consciousness of what is right; and We were aware of [what moved] hi
And We verily gave Abraham of old his proper course, and We were Aware of him
We bestowed aforetime on Abraham his rectitude of conduct, and well were We acquainted with him
And indeed, We had granted Abraham sound judgment early on, for We knew him well ˹to be worthy of it˺.
Before [Moses] We gave Abraham sound judgment and We knew him well,
Before this We gave Abraham his guidance. We knew him well
And certainly We gave to Ibrahim his rectitude before, and We knew him fully well
Certainly, We gave Abraham his right judgment before. And We had been ones who know of him
We gave Abraham his integrity long ago, and We were (fully) Conscious of him
And indeed We gave Abraham his guidance from before and We were Well-Acquainted with him.
And We indeed gave unto Abraham his sound judgment aforetime, and We knew hi
And surely, indeed, We granted to Ibrahim its understanding much before and We have remained about him Well-Acquainted
Even before that We blessed Abraham with rectitude, for We knew him well
We gave Abraham his integrity formerly, and We knew him well
And indeed We already brought Ibrahim (Abrahem) earlier his right-mindedness and We were Knowledgeable of him
To Abraham We gave the right guidance and We knew him very well
Even earlier We had given Ibrahim his right course, and We knew him wel
And, indeed, long before, We showed Abraham his direction and We were Aware of his potential
Much earlier, We granted Ibraheem the maturity of mind
And indeed, We bestowed on Ibrahim (Abraham), his guidance (and the courage of conduct), and We know well all about with him
And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowin
And before that We gave Abraham his understanding, and We were aware of him
Long ago We bestowed right judgement on Abraham and We knew him well
And assuredly We vouchsafed un to lbrahim his rectitude aforetime, and him We had ever known
We had earlier given Abraham true direction, for We knew him well
We gave Ibrahim his right guidance early on, and We had complete knowledge of him.
Indeed We had, before this, granted Abraham discretion and his particular consciousness of truth, and We knew him very well (in all aspects of his character)
Certainly We had given Abraham his rectitude before, and We knew hi
And We gave Abraham of old his Rectitude of conduct (or proper course, as distinct from Faith); for We were aware of him (his faith)
And We have certainly given Abraham his good sense in the past, and We knew him well
We gave Abraham moral authority and We knew him well
Long before that We gave Ibrahim guidance; We knew him well.
Surely We had bestowed wisdom upon Abraham even earlier, and We knew him well
Andbefore that We gave Abraham his understanding, and We were aware of him.
And certainly We did give Abraham, before (Moses and Aaron), his firmly right conduct. And We were aware of thi
And undoubtedly, We bestowed over Ibrahim his righteous path from before, and We knew him.
Before that, we granted Abraham his guidance and understanding, for we were fully aware of him.
Before this We gave Abraham his virtue, for We knew him
And certainly We gave Abraham his rectitude before, and We knew him well
And We had given Abraham his correct/right guidance from before, and We were with (about) him knowing
Even before that, knowing Abraham, I granted him a mature view
And indeed We bestowed Ibrahim with guidance from the beginning, and We were Aware of him
And before this WE gave Abraham his guidance and WE knew him well
And surely, We awarded Ibrahim (Abraham) understanding and guidance (commensurate with his rank) well before, and We knew him full well (his competence and capability)
And We gave Abraham his rectitude (befitting his station as a Prophet of God) before (this). We knew him fully well (for his personal qualities)
And indeed We bestowed aforetime on Ibrahim (Abraham) his (portion of) guidance, and We were Well-Acquainted with him (as to his Belief in the Oneness of Allah, etc.)
We gave Abraham aforetime his rectitude -- for We knew him -
And We gave unto Abraham his direction heretofore, and We knew him to be worthy of the revelations wherewith he was favoured
And we gave Abraham a right direction before; for about him we knew
Of old we gave unto Abraham his direction, for we knew him worthy
We formerly bestowed guidance on Abraham, for We knew him well
We previously bestowed upon Abraham his integrity. We were well acquainted with him.
We gave Abraham his [right] judgement long ago, and We were (fully) Conscious of him
We formerly bestowed on Abraham his consciousness of what is right, and We were aware of him
Indeed, We gave maturity (mature thought – the quality of being a Hanif) to Abraham before this... And We knew him well.
And indeed We gave Abraham aforetime his rectitude, and We were aware of him (his eligibilities)
Aforetime, We directed Ibrahim to reasoning and to employ the faculty of reason in forming conclusions and We were fully aware of his thoughts and of his innermost being
And this is a blessed reminder which We have sent down. Will you then reject it? (R 4, P 16 ¼ )
