| Arabic | | وَيَوْمَ يُعْرَضُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا عَلَى النَّارِ أَذْهَبْتُمْ طَيِّبَاتِكُمْ فِي حَيَاتِكُمُ الدُّنْيَا وَاسْتَمْتَعْتُم بِهَا فَالْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْسُقُون |  |

| your good things | ṭayyibātikum | طَيِّبَاتِكُمْ | ط ى ب | |
| your life | ḥayātikumu | حَيَاتِكُمُ | ح ى ى | |
| (of) the world, | l-dun'yā | الدُّنْيَا | د ن و | |
| and you took your pleasures | wa-is'tamtaʿtum | وَاسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ | م ت ع | |
| So today | fal-yawma | فَالْيَوْمَ | ى و م | |
| you will be recompensed | tuj'zawna | تُجْزَوْنَ | ج ز ى | |
| (with) a punishment | ʿadhāba | عَذَابَ | ع ذ ب | |
| humiliating | l-hūni | الْهُونِ | ه و ن | |
| you were | kuntum | كُنْتُمْ | ك و ن | |
| arrogant | tastakbirūna | تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ | ك ب ر | |
| the earth | l-arḍi | الْأَرْضِ | ا ر ض | |
| without | bighayri | بِغَيْرِ | غ ى ر | |
| [the] right | l-ḥaqi | الْحَقِّ | ح ق ق | |
| and because | wabimā | وَبِمَا | ب م ا | |
| you were | kuntum | كُنْتُمْ | ك و ن | |
| defiantly disobedient." | tafsuqūna | تَفْسُقُونَ | ف س ق | |
