O you who believe, if you go forth in the cause of God, you shall investigate carefully. And do not say to those who greet you with peace: "You are not a believer!" You are seeking the vanity of this world; but with God are many riches. That is how you were before, but God graced you, so investigate carefully. God is expert over what you do.

And there is no sin upon you if you openly propose marriage to the women, or you keep it between yourselves. God knows that you will be thinking about them, but do not meet them secretly, unless you have something righteous to say. And do not finalize the marriage contract until the book interim is reached. And know that God knows what is in your souls, so be aware of Him, and know that God is Forgiving, Compassionate.

Wa 'Idh 'Akhadhnā Mīthāqa Banī 'Isrā'īla Lā Ta`budūna 'Illā Allāha Wa Bil-Wālidayni 'Iĥsānāan Wa Dhī Al-Qurbá Wa Al-Yatāmá Wa Al-Masākīni Wa Qūlū Lilnnāsi Ĥusnāan Wa 'Aqīmū Aş-Şalāata Wa 'Ātū Az-Zakāata Thumma Tawallaytum 'Illā Qalīlāan Minkum Wa 'Antum Mu`riĐūna

And We took the covenant of the Children of Israel: "You shall not serve except God, and do good to your parents, and regard the relatives, and the orphans, and the needy, and say kind things to the people, and hold the contact prayer, and contribute towards purification." But then you turned away, except for a few of you; you were objecting.

3:23
'Alam Tara 'Ilá Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Naşībāan Mina Al-Kitābi Yud`awna 'Ilá Kitābi Allāhi Liyaĥkuma Baynahum Thumma Yatawallá Farīqun Minhum Wa Hum Mu`riĐūna

Did you not see those who were given a portion of the Book being invited to the Book of God to judge between them, then a group of them turns away while they are adverse?

6:4
Wa Mā Ta'tīhim Min 'Āyatin Min 'Āyāti Rabbihim 'Illā Kānū `Anhā Mu`riĐīna

And every sign that came to them from their Lord, they turned away from it.

8:23
Wa Law `Alima Allāhu Fīhim Khayrāan La'asma`ahum Wa Law 'Asma`ahum Latawallaw Wa Hum Mu`riĐūna

And if God had found any good in them, then He would have made them listen. And if He had made them listen, they would have turned away while they are in aversion.

9:76
Falammā 'Ātāhum Min FaĐlihi Bakhilū Bihi Wa Tawallaw Wa Hum Mu`riĐūna

So when He gave them from His bounty, they became stingy with it, and they turned away while they were averse.

12:105
Wa Ka'ayyin Min 'Āyatin Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐi Yamurrūna `Alayhā Wa Hum `Anhā Mu`riĐūna

And how many a sign in the heavens and the earth do they pass by, while they are turning away from it.

15:81
Wa 'Ātaynāhum 'Āyātinā Fakānū `Anhā Mu`riĐīna

And We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them.

21:1
Aqtaraba Lilnnāsi Ĥisābuhum Wa Hum Fī Ghaflatin Mu`riĐūna

The judgment for the people has come near, while they are turning away unaware.

21:24
'Am Attakhadhū Min Dūnihi 'Ālihatan Qul Hātū Burhānakum Hādhā Dhikru Man Ma`iya Wa Dhikru Man Qablī Bal 'Aktharuhum Lā Ya`lamūna Al-Ĥaqqa Fahum Mu`riĐūna

Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say: "Bring your proof. This is a reminder of those with me and a reminder of those before me." But, most of them do not know the truth, so they turn away.

21:32
Wa Ja`alnā As-Samā'a Saqfāan Maĥfūžāan Wa Hum `An 'Āyātihā Mu`riĐūna

And We made the sky a protective ceiling; and yet, from its signs they are turning away!

21:42
Qul Man Yakla'uukum Bil-Layli Wa An-Nahāri Mina Ar-Raĥmāni Bal Hum `An Dhikri Rabbihim Mu`riĐūna

Say: "Who can protect you during the night and the day from the Almighty?" No, they are turning away from the remembrance of their Lord.

23:3
Wa Al-Ladhīna Hum `Ani Al-Laghwi Mu`riĐūna

And they abstain from vain talk.

23:71
Wa Lawi Attaba`a Al-Ĥaqqu 'Ahwā'ahum Lafasadati As-Samāwātu Wa Al-'ArĐu Wa Man Fīhinna Bal 'Ataynāhum Bidhikrihim Fahum `An Dhikrihim Mu`riĐūna

And if the truth were to follow their desires, then the heavens and the earth and all who are in them would have been corrupted. No, We have come to them with their reminder, but from their reminder they are turning away.

24:48
Wa 'Idhā Du`ū 'Ilá Allāhi Wa Rasūlihi Liyaĥkuma Baynahum 'Idhā Farīqun Minhum Mu`riĐūna

And if they are invited to God and His messenger to judge between them, a party of them turn away.

26:5
Wa Mā Ya'tīhim Min Dhikrin Mina Ar-Raĥmāni Muĥdathin 'Illā Kānū `Anhu Mu`riĐīna

And not a reminder comes to them from the Almighty, except that they turn away from it.

36:46
Wa Mā Ta'tīhim Min 'Āyatin Min 'Āyāti Rabbihim 'Illā Kānū `Anhā Mu`riĐīna

And no matter what sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord, they turn away from it.

38:68
'Antum `Anhu Mu`riĐūna

"From which you turn away."

46:3
Mā Khalaqnā As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'ArĐa Wa Mā Baynahumā 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa 'Ajalin Musammáan Wa Al-Ladhīna Kafarū `Ammā 'Undhirū Mu`riĐūna

We did not create the heavens and the earth, and everything between them except with the truth, and for an appointed time. And those who disbelieve turn away from what they are being warned with.

74:49
Famā Lahum `Ani At-Tadhkirati Mu`riĐīna

Why did they turn away from being reminded?
