| Arabic | | فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُون |  |

| So We sent | | fa-arsalnā | | فَأَرْسَلْنَا | | ر س ل | |
| upon them | | ʿalayhim | | عَلَيْهِمْ | | ع ل ى | |
| (the) days | | ayyāmin | | أَيَّامٍ | | ى و م | |
| (of) misfortune, | | naḥisātin | | نَحِسَاتٍ | | ن ح س | |
| that We may make them taste | | linudhīqahum | | لِنُذِيقَهُمْ | | ذ و ق | |
| (the) punishment | | ʿadhāba | | عَذَابَ | | ع ذ ب | |
| (of) disgrace | | l-khiz'yi | | الْخِزْيِ | | خ ز ى | |
| the life | | l-ḥayati | | الْحَيَوةِ | | ح ى ى | |
| (of) the world. | | l-dun'yā | | الدُّنْيَا | | د ن و | |
| And surely, (the) punishment | | walaʿadhābu | | وَلَعَذَابُ | | ع ذ ب | |
| (of) the Hereafter | | l-ākhirati | | الْءَاخِرَةِ | | ا خ ر | |
| (is) more disgracing, | | akhzā | | أَخْزَى | | خ ز ى | |
| will be helped. | | yunṣarūna | | يُنْصَرُونَ | | ن ص ر | |
