| | Ali Bakhtiari Nejad rendition of Surah The Ant, The Ants(an-Naml)

| 27:1 | | T. S. (Ta. Sin.). These are verses of the Quran and a clear (and clarifying) book |
| 27:2 | | a guide and good news for the believers |
| 27:3 | | Those who perform the mandatory prayer and give to the mandatory charity and they are certain of the hereafter |
| 27:4 | | Indeed those who do not believe in the hereafter, We beautified their works for them, so they are blindly wandering |
| 27:5 | | They are those whom the bad punishment is for them and they are the worst losers in the hereafter |
| 27:6 | | And you certainly receive the Quran from a wise and knowledgeable One |
| 27:7 | | (Remember) when Moses said to his family: I noticed a fire, I am going to bring some news from it or I bring a burning stick of it so that you may warm yourselves |
| 27:8 | | So when he got to it, he was called: blessed is He who is in the fire and anyone around it, and glory to God, Master or humankind |
| 27:9 | | Moses, indeed it is I, God, the powerful, the wise |
| 27:10 | | Throw down your cane. So when he saw it wiggling as if it was a serpent, he turned back running away and he did not look back. Moses, do not be afraid, indeed the messengers are not afraid before Me |
| 27:11 | | and neither is anyone who did wrong then he changed to goodness after badness, as indeed I am forgiving and merciful |
| 27:12 | | And put your hand into the opening of your shirt, it comes out white without any disease, these are among nine miracles for Pharaoh and his people. Indeed they are disobedient people |
| 27:13 | | So when Our eye opening miracles came to them, they said: this is an obvious magic |
| 27:14 | | And they rejected it wrongfully and arrogantly while their souls were certain of it. So see what the end of the corruptors was |
| 27:15 | | And We have certainly given David and Solomon knowledge, and they both said: all praise belongs to God, the One who preferred us over many of His believing servants |
| 27:16 | | And Solomon inherited from David, and he said: people, we were taught the language of the birds, and were given from everything. Indeed this is the obvious grace |
| 27:17 | | And his troops of Jinn and humans and the birds were gathered before Solomon, and they were set in rows |
| 27:18 | | Until when they came to the valley of the ants. An ant said: ants, get into your nests, so Solomon and his troops do not crush you while they do not realize |
| 27:19 | | So he smiled, laughing from her word and said: my Master, enable me to thank for Your favors that You granted me and my parents, and to do good work to please You, and admit me among Your righteous servants by Your mercy. |
| 27:20 | | And he inspected the birds, then he said: what is with me, I do not see hoopoe, is he absent |
| 27:21 | | I shall punish him, a severe punishment, or I shall slaughter him unless he brings me a clear reason |
| 27:22 | | So he waited not too long, then he said: I found out what you did not know it, and I brought you confirmed news from Sheba |
| 27:23 | | I found that a woman rules them and she was given from everything and she has a great throne |
| 27:24 | | I found her and her people prostrate (and show humbleness) to the sun instead of God, and Satan beautified their deeds for them, and kept them away from the (right) way, so they are not guided |
| 27:25 | | that they do not prostrate before God, the One who brings out the hidden things in the skies and the earth, and He knows what you hide and what you disclose |
| 27:26 | | God, there is no god except Him, Master of the great throne |
| 27:27 | | He (Solomon) said: we are going to see if you told the truth or you are of the liars |
| 27:28 | | Go with this letter of mine and deliver it to them, then leave them and see what they return (as answer) |
| 27:29 | | She (the queen of Sheba) said: counselors, indeed an honorable letter was delivered to me |
| 27:30 | | It is from Solomon, and it (reads): in the name of God the beneficent, the merciful |
| 27:31 | | Do not be arrogant against me, and come to me surrendered |
| 27:32 | | She said: counselors, advise me in my affair, for I am not to decide on any matter until you are present (and bear witness) |
| 27:33 | | They said: we have power and we have great fighting (capabilities), but the command is yours, so see what you command |
| 27:34 | | She said: indeed when the kings enter any town, they ruin it, and they make its most powerful (and respected) people most humiliated, and that is what they do |
| 27:35 | | And I am going to send them a gift and see with what the messengers return |
| 27:36 | | So when he came to Solomon, he (Solomon) said: do you help me with wealth? What God gave me is better than what He gave you, yet you are happy about your gift |
| 27:37 | | Return to them, for we shall come to them with troops that they have no power to face it, and we shall drive them out of there in humiliation while they are subdued |
| 27:38 | | He said: counselors, which one of you brings me her throne before they come to me surrendered |
| 27:39 | | A bold one of the Jinn said: I bring it to you before you get up from your position, and I am certainly strong and honest for it |
| 27:40 | | Someone who had knowledge of the book said: I bring it to you before you blink. So when he saw it placed before him, he said: this is from my Master's grace in order to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful, and whoever is grateful then he is only grateful for himself, and whoever is ungrateful then indeed my Master is rich (and without needs) and noble |
| 27:41 | | He said: disguise her throne for her, so we see if she discovers it or she is one of those who do not discover |
| 27:42 | | So when she came, she was told: is your throne like this? She said: it is like it, and we were given the knowledge before that and we were surrendered |
| 27:43 | | And what she used to served other than God held her off (from the truth). Indeed she was one of the disbelieving people |
| 27:44 | | She was told: enter the palace. So when she saw it, she thought it is deep water and she exposed her legs (by pulling up her dress). He said: it is a palace paved with glasses/crystals. She said: my Master, indeed I did wrong to myself, and I submit with Solomon to God, Master of humankind |
| 27:45 | | And we have certainly sent their brother Salih to Thamud (saying): serve God. Then all of a sudden they were two groups disputing (with each other) |
| 27:46 | | He said: my people, why do you rush to the badness before the goodness, why do you not ask forgiveness from God, so that you may receive mercy |
| 27:47 | | They said: we consider you and anyone with you as bad omen. He said: your bad omen is from God, but you are people being tested |
| 27:48 | | And they were nine heads of families in the city committing corruption in the land, and would not reform |
| 27:49 | | They said: (let us) swear by God that we shall attack (and kill) him and his family at night, then we shall say to his heirs (and friends) that we were not present at the killing of his family, and we are certainly truthful |
| 27:50 | | They plotted a plot, and We planned a plot, and they do not realize |
| 27:51 | | So see what the end of their plot was, We destroyed them and their people altogether |
| 27:52 | | These are their houses, fallen down (and ruined) because of what they did wrong. Indeed there is a sign in that for people who know |
| 27:53 | | And We saved those who believed and were controlling themselves |
| 27:54 | | And (remember) Lot when he said to his people: do you commit the indecency while you see (and notice) |
| 27:55 | | Do you approach men lustfully instead of women? You are ignorant people |
| 27:56 | | And the answer of his people was only to say: drive Lot’s family out of your town, indeed they are people who pretend to be (or want to remain) pure |
| 27:57 | | So We saved him and his family except his wife, whom We destined her among those staying behind |
| 27:58 | | And We poured down a rain (of stone) on them, and it was an awful rain on those who were warned |
| 27:59 | | Say: all praise belongs to God, and peace (and well-being) upon His servants whom He chose. Is God better or what you associate (with Him) |
| 27:60 | | Or One who created the skies and the earth and sent down rain for you from the sky, then We grew beautiful (and delightful) gardens with it that you could not grow their trees. Is there a god with God? No, but they are people who set up equals (for God) |
| 27:61 | | Or One who made the earth a habitat and placed rivers through it and placed mountain for it and placed a barrier between the two seas? Is there a god with God? No, but most of them do not know |
| 27:62 | | Or One who answers the distressed when he prays to Him and He removes the badness and makes you successors (inheritors) on the earth? Is there a god with God? You take a little notice |
| 27:63 | | Or One who guides you in darkness of the land and the sea and One who sends the winds as good news before His mercy? Is there a god with God? God is above what they associate (with Him) |
| 27:64 | | Or One who initiates the creation then brings it back and provides for you from the sky and the earth? Is there a god with God? Say: bring your proof if you are truthful |
| 27:65 | | Say: no one in the skies and on the earth knows the unseen except God, and they do not realize when they will be raised |
| 27:66 | | No, but their knowledge falls short about the hereafter, rather they are in doubt about it or they are blind about it |
| 27:67 | | And those who disbelieved say: are we brought out when we and our fathers become dust |
| 27:68 | | We and our fathers have certainly been promised this in the past. This is only stories of the earlier ones |
| 27:69 | | Say: travel throughout the earth and see what the end of the guilty ones was |
| 27:70 | | And do not be sad about them, and do not be troubled from what they plot |
| 27:71 | | And they say: when is this promise if you are truthful |
| 27:72 | | Say: perhaps, some of that which you want to be rushed is right behind you |
| 27:73 | | And indeed your Master is graceful to the people, but most of them do not thank |
| 27:74 | | And your Master indeed knows what their chests hide and what they disclose |
| 27:75 | | And there is nothing hidden in the sky and on the earth unless it is in a clear book |
| 27:76 | | Indeed this Quran tells the children of Israel most of what they disagree about it |
| 27:77 | | And indeed it is a guide and a mercy for the believers |
| 27:78 | | Indeed your Master judges between them with His command, and He is the powerful and the knowledgeable |
| 27:79 | | So put your trust in God, indeed you are on the clear truth |
| 27:80 | | Indeed you cannot make the dead hear, or make the deaf hear the call when they turn their back going away. |
| 27:81 | | And you are not a guide to the blind from their getting lost. You can only make someone listen who believes in Our signs and they are submitted |
| 27:82 | | And when the word (of punishment) happens to them, We bring out a creature from the earth for them, speaking to them that the people were not sure of Our signs |
| 27:83 | | And on a day that We gather from every community a group of those who denied Our signs, and they are set in rows |
| 27:84 | | Until when they come, He says: did you deny My signs while you did not fully understand them by (your) knowledge, what were you doing |
| 27:85 | | And the word (of punishment) happens to them because of what they did wrong, and they do not speak (a word) |
| 27:86 | | Did they not see that We made the night in order to rest in it, and the day to see. There are certainly signs in that for people who believe |
| 27:87 | | And on a day that the trumpet is blown, then everyone in the skies and everyone on the earth are scared except anyone who God wants, and they all come to Him humbled |
| 27:88 | | And you see the mountains, thinking they are motionless while they move as the clouds move. God’s making, the One who made everything perfect. Indeed He is well aware of what you do |
| 27:89 | | Anyone who comes with the good (deeds), then there is better than that for him, and they are safe from fear on that day |
| 27:90 | | And anyone who comes with the bad (deeds), then he is thrown down into the fire on their faces, (and they are told) are you being repaid except for what you used to do |
| 27:91 | | I am ordered to only serve the Master of this land, the One who made it sacred and everything belongs to Him, and I am ordered to be of the submitted ones |
| 27:92 | | and to read the Quran. So anyone who is guided (to the right path),then he is only guided for himself, and anyone who loses the way then say: I am only of the warners |
| 27:93 | | And say: all praise belongs to God, He is going to show you His signs so you recognize them, and your Master is not unaware of what you do |
