| | Ali Bakhtiari Nejad rendition of Surah The Poets(ash-Shu`ara`) --- |
---|
26:1 | | T. S. M. (Ta. Sin. Mim. |
26:2 | | These are verses of the clear (and clarifying) book |
26:3 | | You may kill yourself with grief because they do not become believers |
26:4 | | If We want, We send down a sign to them from the sky so their necks bend in humility for it |
26:5 | | No new reminder comes to them from the beneficent, unless they turn away from it |
26:6 | | They have denied, so the news of what they used to ridicule it is going to come to them |
26:7 | | Or did they not look at the earth, that how many of all kind of splendid plants did We grow in it |
26:8 | | Indeed there is a sign in that, and most of them are not believers |
26:9 | | And indeed your Master, He is the powerful and the merciful |
26:10 | | And (remember) when your Master called Moses: go to the wrongdoing people |
26:11 | | people of Pharaoh, (and ask) would they not be cautious (of God) |
26:12 | | He said: my Master, I am afraid that they deny me |
26:13 | | and my chest becomes tight and my tongue stutters, so send (the message) to Aaron |
26:14 | | And they have a charge against me, so I am afraid that they kill me |
26:15 | | He (God) said: no way, you two go with Our signs, We are with you, listening |
26:16 | | So you two go to Pharaoh and say: indeed we are messengers of the Master of Human kind |
26:17 | | send the children of Israel with us |
26:18 | | He (Pharaoh) said: did we not bring you up among us as a child, and you stayed among us for years of your life |
26:19 | | And you did your work that you did (and committed murder), and you are of the ungrateful ones |
26:20 | | He (Moses) said: I did it while I was of the lost ones (from the right path) |
26:21 | | then I ran away from you because I was afraid of you, then my Master gave me wisdom and made me of the messengers |
26:22 | | And that is a favor that you tell me off about it, that you enslaved children of Israel (and you did not enslave or kill me) |
26:23 | | Pharaoh said: and what is Master of humankind |
26:24 | | He (Moses) said: Master of the skies and the earth and whatever between them, if you are sure |
26:25 | | He said to those around him: do you not hear (what he says) |
26:26 | | He (Moses) said: your Master and Master of your forefathers |
26:27 | | He said (to the others): your messenger, the one who was sent to you is certainly crazy |
26:28 | | He (Moses) said: Master of the east and the west and whatever between them, if you understand |
26:29 | | He said: if you take any god other than me, I shall make you of the prisoners |
26:30 | | He (Moses) said: even if I bring you something obvious |
26:31 | | He said: then bring it, if you are of the truthful ones |
26:32 | | So he threw his cane and it immediately was a visible serpent |
26:33 | | And he took out his hand, and it was white to the viewers |
26:34 | | He said to the assembly around him: indeed this is a knowledgeable (and skillful) magician |
26:35 | | He wants to drive you out of your land with his magic, so what do you instruct |
26:36 | | They said: put him and his brother off (for a while) and send gatherers to the citie |
26:37 | | to bring you every skillful magician |
26:38 | | So the magicians were collected for an appointment on a known day. |
26:39 | | And people were told: would you come together |
26:40 | | We may follow the magicians if they are the winners |
26:41 | | So when the magicians came, they said to Pharaoh: is there a reward for us if we are the winners |
26:42 | | He said: yes, and then you will certainly be among the close ones |
26:43 | | Moses said to them: throw what you are throwing |
26:44 | | So they threw their ropes and their canes and they said: by Pharaoh’s power, we shall be the winners |
26:45 | | Then Moses threw his cane, and it immediately swallowed whatever they faked |
26:46 | | So the magicians fell, prostrating (and showing humbleness) |
26:47 | | They said: we believed in the Master of Human kind |
26:48 | | Master of Moses and Aaron |
26:49 | | He (Pharaoh) said: did you believe in him before I give you permission? He is certainly your superior, the one who taught you the magic, and you will certainly know that I shall cut off your hands and feet on opposite side, and I shall crucify you all |
26:50 | | They said: no problem, indeed we are returners to our Master |
26:51 | | Indeed we hope that our Master forgives us our faults because we are the first of the believers |
26:52 | | And We revealed to Moses: travel with My servants by night, indeed you will be followed |
26:53 | | So Pharaoh sent gatherers to the cities |
26:54 | | (saying) indeed these are a small group |
26:55 | | and they certainly angered u |
26:56 | | and we are all certainly alert (and ready) |
26:57 | | So We drove them out of gardens and springs |
26:58 | | and treasures and honorable position |
26:59 | | That is how it was, and We left them as inheritance for children of Israel. |
26:60 | | So they (Pharaoh’s army) followed them at sunrise |
26:61 | | So when the two crowds saw each other, companions of Moses said: indeed we will be caught |
26:62 | | He (Moses) said: no way, indeed my Master is with me, He is going to guide me |
26:63 | | And We revealed to Moses to strike the sea with your cane. So it opened up, and each side became like a great mountain |
26:64 | | And We brought the others (Pharaoh’s army) near there |
26:65 | | And We saved Moses and those with him altogether |
26:66 | | Then We drowned the others |
26:67 | | Indeed there is a sign in that, and most of them are not believers |
26:68 | | And indeed your Master is the powerful and the merciful |
26:69 | | And read Abraham’s story to them |
26:70 | | When he said to his father and his people: what do you serve |
26:71 | | They said: we serve idols, and we continue to be devoted to them |
26:72 | | He said: do they hear you when you call on them |
26:73 | | Or do they benefit you or harm you |
26:74 | | They said: no, but we found our fathers doing like this |
26:75 | | He said: did you think what you were serving |
26:76 | | you and your forefathers |
26:77 | | Indeed they are my enemies, except the Master of Human kind |
26:78 | | the One who created me, and He guides me |
26:79 | | and the One who gives me food and gives me drink |
26:80 | | and when I get sick, then He heals me |
26:81 | | and the One who make me die, then He makes me alive |
26:82 | | and the One who, I hope that He forgives my mistakes on the judgment day |
26:83 | | My Master, give me wisdom and join me with the righteous |
26:84 | | and give me a good name on the tongue of the later ones (and future generations) |
26:85 | | and make me among inheritors of garden of the delight |
26:86 | | and forgive my father, indeed he is of the lost ones |
26:87 | | and do not humiliate me on a day that they are raised |
26:88 | | a day that wealth and children have no benefit |
26:89 | | except anyone who brings a sound (and pure) heart to God |
26:90 | | And the garden is brought near for those who control themselves |
26:91 | | And the hellfire is made apparent to the misled ones. |
26:92 | | And it is said to them: where are what you were servin |
26:93 | | other than God? Can they help you or help themselves |
26:94 | | So they and the misled ones are thrown headfirst into it (hellfire) |
26:95 | | and troops of Iblis (Satan), altogether |
26:96 | | And while they dispute about it, they say |
26:97 | | by God that we were in an obvious error |
26:98 | | when we made you equal to the Master of Human kind. |
26:99 | | And no one misguided us except the guilty ones |
26:100 | | So, we do not have any mediator |
26:101 | | and no true friend |
26:102 | | And if there was a return for us (to live again), then we would become of the believers |
26:103 | | Indeed there is a sign in that, and most of them are not believers |
26:104 | | And indeed your Master is the powerful and the merciful |
26:105 | | People of Noah denied the messengers |
26:106 | | When their brother Noah said to them: would you not be cautious (of God) |
26:107 | | I am an honest messenger for you |
26:108 | | so be cautious of God and obey me |
26:109 | | And I do not ask you for any wage, for my wage is only responsibility of the Master of Human kind |
26:110 | | so be cautious of God and obey me |
26:111 | | They said: should we believe in you while the meanest (and the worst) follow you |
26:112 | | He said: I have no knowledge of what they used to do |
26:113 | | Their account is only upon my Master, if you realize |
26:114 | | And I do not drive away the believers |
26:115 | | I am only a clear warner |
26:116 | | They said: Noah, if you do not stop, you shall become among the stoned ones |
26:117 | | He said: my Master, indeed my people denied me |
26:118 | | so judge decisively (or open an opening) between me and them, and save me and anyone who is with me of the believers |
26:119 | | So We saved him and anyone with him in the loaded Ark |
26:120 | | Then afterward We drowned the rest |
26:121 | | Indeed there is a sign in that, and most of them are not believers |
26:122 | | And your Master is certainly powerful and merciful |
26:123 | | (People of) Aad denied the messengers |
26:124 | | when their brother Hud said to them: would you not be cautious (of God) |
26:125 | | I am an honest messenger for you |
26:126 | | so be cautious of God and obey me |
26:127 | | And I do not ask you for any wage, for my wage is only responsibility of the Master of Human kind |
26:128 | | Do you build a sign on every high place to fool around |
26:129 | | And you take up castles that you may live forever |
26:130 | | And when you attack, you attack as tyrants |
26:131 | | So be cautious of God and obey me |
26:132 | | And be cautious of the One who helped you with what you know |
26:133 | | He helped you with livestock and childre |
26:134 | | and gardens and springs |
26:135 | | Indeed I am afraid of the punishment of a great day upon you |
26:136 | | They said: it is the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors |
26:137 | | this is only character of the earlier ones |
26:138 | | and we will not be punished |
26:139 | | So they denied him, then We destroyed them. Indeed there is a sign in that, and most of them are not believers |
26:140 | | And indeed your Master is the powerful and the merciful |
26:141 | | (People of) Thamud denied the messengers |
26:142 | | when their brother Salih said to them: would you not be cautious (of God) |
26:143 | | I am an honest messenger for you |
26:144 | | so be cautious of God and obey me |
26:145 | | And I do not ask you for any wage, for my wage is only responsibility of the Master of Human kind |
26:146 | | Would you be left safe (and secure) in what is here |
26:147 | | In gardens and spring |
26:148 | | and plantations and a palm tree with its ripe (and delicious) fruit cluste |
26:149 | | and houses you skillfully carve out of the mountains |
26:150 | | So be cautious of God and obey me |
26:151 | | and do not obey order of the excessive ones |
26:152 | | those who commit corruption on the earth and do not reform |
26:153 | | They said: you are only of the bewitched ones |
26:154 | | you are only a human being like us, so bring a miracle if you are of the truthful ones |
26:155 | | He said: this is a (female) camel, she has (a portion of) drink and you have your (portion of) drink, on a known day |
26:156 | | And do not touch her with harm otherwise the punishment of a great day takes you |
26:157 | | So they killed her, then they became regretful |
26:158 | | Then the punishment took them. Indeed there is a sign in that, and most of them are not believers |
26:159 | | And indeed your Master is the powerful and the merciful |
26:160 | | People of Lot denied the messengers |
26:161 | | when their brother Lot said to them: would you not be cautious (of God) |
26:162 | | I am an honest messenger for you |
26:163 | | so be cautious of God and obey me |
26:164 | | And I do not ask you for any wage, for my wage is only responsibility of the Master of Human kind |
26:165 | | Do you approach the males among humankind |
26:166 | | And you leave what your Master created for you as your wives? No, but you are people who exceed the limits |
26:167 | | They said: Lot, if you do not stop, you shall be of those driven out |
26:168 | | He said: indeed I am of those who despise your action |
26:169 | | My Master, save me and my family from what they do |
26:170 | | So We saved him and his family altogether |
26:171 | | except an old woman (his wife who was) among those staying behind. |
26:172 | | Then We destroyed the others |
26:173 | | And We poured down a rain on them, and it was an awful rain on those who were warned |
26:174 | | Indeed there is a sign in that, and most of them are not believers |
26:175 | | And indeed your Master is the powerful and the merciful |
26:176 | | The inhabitants of the woods (people of Midian) denied the messengers |
26:177 | | when Shu'aib said to them: would you not be cautious (of God) |
26:178 | | I am an honest messenger for you |
26:179 | | so be cautious of God and obey me |
26:180 | | And I do not ask you for any wage, for my wage is only responsibility of the Master of Human kind |
26:181 | | Give the full measure, and do not be of those who give less (than due) |
26:182 | | and weigh with accurate scale |
26:183 | | and do not shortchange people their things and do not do mischief on the earth as corruptors |
26:184 | | And be cautious of the One who created you and the earlier generations |
26:185 | | They said: indeed you are of the bewitched ones |
26:186 | | you are only a human being like us, and we think you are among the liars |
26:187 | | So, make pieces of the sky fall on us, if you are of the truthful ones |
26:188 | | He said: my Master knows best what you do |
26:189 | | So they denied him, then the punishment of day of the covering clouds (of fire) took them. Indeed it was the punishment of a great day |
26:190 | | Indeed there is a sign in that, and most of them are not believers |
26:191 | | And indeed your Master is the powerful and the merciful |
26:192 | | And it (Quran) is certainly a sending down by the Master of Human kind |
26:193 | | The honest spirit (Gabriel) came down with i |
26:194 | | to your heart so that you be of the warners |
26:195 | | in clear Arabic language |
26:196 | | And indeed it is in the scriptures of the earlier ones |
26:197 | | Is it not a sign for them that the knowledgeable children of Israel know it |
26:198 | | And if We had sent it down to someone of the non-Arabs |
26:199 | | and he had read it to them, they would not have been believers in it. |
26:200 | | That is how We insert/pass it through the hearts of guilty ones |
26:201 | | they would not believe in it until they see the painful punishment |
26:202 | | And it comes to them suddenly while they do not realize |
26:203 | | Then they say: may we be given a delay |
26:204 | | Do they still want to rush Our punishment |
26:205 | | So did you think that if We make them enjoy for some years |
26:206 | | then what they were promised (the punishment) comes to them |
26:207 | | what they were made to enjoy would not be of any use to them |
26:208 | | We did not destroy any town (or population) unless there were warners for i |
26:209 | | to remind, and We were not unjust |
26:210 | | And the devils did not come down with it (Quran) |
26:211 | | It is not appropriate for them, and they can not |
26:212 | | Indeed they are blocked from the hearing (of it) |
26:213 | | So do not call on another god with God, otherwise you become of the punished ones |
26:214 | | And warn your closest family (and tribe members) |
26:215 | | And lower your wing (and be kind) for anyone who follows you among the believers |
26:216 | | And If they disobey you, then say: I am clear of what you do |
26:217 | | And put your trust in the powerful, the merciful |
26:218 | | The One who sees you when you stand (for prayer |
26:219 | | and your movement among those who prostrate (and show humbleness) |
26:220 | | Indeed He hears all and knows all |
26:221 | | Should I inform you of whom the devils come down on |
26:222 | | They come down on every lying sinner |
26:223 | | who give ear (and listen to the devils), and most of them are liars |
26:224 | | And the poets, the misled ones (those who lost the right way) follow them |
26:225 | | Did you not see that they drift into every valley (and subject) |
26:226 | | and they say what they do not do |
26:227 | | Except those (poets) who believe and do good works and often remember God and help/defend themselves after they are wronged. And those who do wrong are going to know to what return they will return |
