AYAH al-Furqan 25:40

Arabic وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا عَلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرَوْنَهَا بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورً zoom
Transliteration Walaqad ataw AAala alqaryati allatee omtirat matara alssaw-i afalam yakoonoo yarawnaha bal kanoo la yarjoona nushooran zoom
Transliteration-2 walaqad ataw ʿalā l-qaryati allatī um'ṭirat maṭara l-sawi afalam yakūnū yarawnahā bal kānū lā yarjūna nushūra zoom

Generally Accepted Translations of the Meaning
Muhammad Asad And they [who now deny Our messages] must surely have come across that town which was rained upon by a rain of evil: have they, then, never beheld it [with their minds eye]? But nay, they would not believe in resurrection zoom
M. M. Pickthall And indeed they have passed by the township whereon was rained the fatal rain. Can it be that they have not seen it? Nay, but they hope for no resurrection zoom
