| prostrates | | yasjudu | | يَسْجُدُ | | س ج د | |

| and the earth, | | wal-arḍi | | وَالْأَرْضِ | | ا ر ض | |
| willingly | | ṭawʿan | | طَوْعًا | | ط و ع | |
| or unwillingly, | | wakarhan | | وَكَرْهًا | | ك ر ه | |
| and (so do) their shadows | | waẓilāluhum | | وَظِلَالُهُمْ | | ظ ل ل | |
| in the mornings | | bil-ghuduwi | | بِالْغُدُوِّ | | غ د و | |
| and in the afternoons. | | wal-āṣāli | | وَالْءَاصَالِ | | ا ص ل | |
