And they said, "Why has not been sent down to him an Angel?" And if We (had) sent down an Angel, surely (would) have been decided the matter then no respite would have been granted.
They are saying, too, "Why has not an angel (visibly] been sent down unto him?" But had we sent down an angel, all would indeed have been decided, and they would have been allowed no further respite [for repentance
They say: Why hath not an angel been sent down unto him? If We sent down an angel, then the matter would be judged; no further time would be allowed them (for reflection)
They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them
They say, “Why has no ˹visible˺ angel come with him?” Had We sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been settled ˹at once˺, and they would have never been given more time ˹to repent˺.
They say, "Why was no angel sent down to him?" But had We sent down an angel, it would have been over, with no further time given to them
They ask, Why has an angel not been sent down to him? If We did send down an angel, the matter would be settled and they would not have been granted any respite
And they say: Why has not an angel been sent down to him? And had We sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been decided and then they would not have been respited
And they said: Why was an angel not caused to descend to him? And, certainly, if We caused to descend an angel, the command would be decided. Again, no respite would be given to them.
They say: "If an angel only sent down to him!" Yte if We were to send an angel down, the matter would be settled; then they would no longer be allowed to wait
And they say: “Why has not an angel been sent down to him?” If We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided then, and no respite would have been granted to them
And they would say, “Why has not an angel been sent down unto him?” Had We sent down an angel, then the matter would be decreed, and they would be granted no respite
And they said: “Why not has been sent down to him an angel?” And if We had sent down an angel, indeed (then) the matter would have been settled — in such a case they would not be given (any) respite
They ask: "Why has no angel been sent down to us?" Well, if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been settled at once and no respite would have been granted after that
And they say, 'Why was an angel not sent down to him.' Had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been settled, and they would not have been reprieved
And they said, "If only an Angel had been sent down on him!" And (yet), if We had sent down an Angel, the Command would indeed have been decreed; thereafter they would not be respited
They have said, "Why has not an angel come to him (Muhammad)?" Had We sent an angel to them, the matter would have inevitably been out of their hands, and they would have been given no more time
They say, .Why is it that an angel has not been sent down to him?. Had We sent down an angel, the whole matter would have been closed, and thereafter no further time would have been allowed to them
They say, "Why is not an angel sent down to him," for them to behold? If We sent down an angel, the matter would have been judged; no further time would be allowed them. (We send angels to behold only when the period of respite is over (16:33), (25:22))
They asked, "Why was an angel not sent down towards him (the prophet)?" Had We sent angels, the matter would have been decided and done with. Then, they would not be given the loose rein, and a leeway
And they say: "Why is an angel not sent down to him?" If We did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no relief (from pain) would be granted to them
And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved
And they said: "If only an Angel were sent down to us" But if We had sent down an Angel, then the matter would be over, and they would not be reprieved
They say, ‘Why was no angel sent down to [support] him?’ But had We sent down an angel, their judgement would have come at once with no respite given
And they say: wherefore hath not an angel been sent down unto him? Were We to send down an angel, the affair would have been decreed and they would not be respited
They say: "How is it no angel was sent down to him?" Had We sent an angel down the matter would have come to end, and they would have had no respite
They say, ´Why has an angel not been sent down to him?´ If We were to send down an angel, that would be the end of the affair and they would have no reprieve
"Why has not an angel been sent down on him?" they say. Yet, had We sent down an angel (i.e. one they could see, as We did to some of the previous peoples such as those of Lot), then the matter would surely have long been decided and they would have been allowed no respite (since angels coming in this way heralds the destruction)
And they say, ‘Why has not an angel been sent down to him?’ Were We to send down an angel, the matter would surely be decided, and then they would not be granted any respite
They say, "Why has not an angel been sent down to him?" But if We had sent down an angel, the affair would have been decided at once, and then they would have had no respite
And they said: why has not an angel been sent down to him? And if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been decided and they would not be given any delay
They say, “Why is an angel not sent down to him?” If We sent down an angel, the matter would have been settled at once, and no discovery would have been possible for them
They said, “If only an angel would come down to him,” if We were to send an angel, that would only be to decide their fate and they would have no more time after that
They also say: ´Why has no angel been sent down to this Prophet?´ Had We sent down an angel, the matter would surely have long been decided and no respite would have been granted them
And they said: "If only an angel were sent down to him?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would be settled, then they would no longer be respited.
And they say, "Why has not an angel been sent down to him?" And had We sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been decided then and there, and they would have been given no respite
And they said, 'Why not any angel has been sent on him? And if We would have sent an angel the affair would have been finished, and they would not have been given time.
They also said, "If only an angel could come down with him!" Had we sent an angel, the whole matter would have been terminated, and they would no longer be respited.
They ask: 'Why has no angel been sent down to him? ' If We had sent down an angel, their fate would have been determined and they would never have been respited
And they say: Why has not an angel been sent down to him? And if We send down an angel, the matter would be decided and then they would not be respited
And they said: "If only (an) angel was descended on him." And if We descended an angel, the matter/affair would have been executed/ended , then they (would) not be given time/delayed
They say: "Why an angel is not sent down to him [so that we may see it with our own eyes?]" If an angel would have been sent down, the matter would have been solved and then [the worldly test and trial would have lost its meaning and] they would not have had their lives [to strive for their betterment.]
And they said, “Why has not an angel been sent down to him?” And had We sent down an angel, then the matter would have been finished, and they would not get any respite
And they say, `Why has not an angel been sent down to him?' And if WE had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided, and then they would have been granted no respite
And these (disbelievers) say: ‘Why was an angel (whom we could physically see and who would verify him) not sent down to this (glorious Messenger)?’ Had We sent down an angel, (their) affair would have been settled once and for all, and they would not have been granted (any) respite
And they said, `(If the Prophet is true and sincere in his claim) why has not an angel been sent down to (help) him?' But if We had sent down an angel the matter would have been decided, then they would not have been respited
And they say: "Why has not an angel been sent down to him?" Had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been judged at once, and no respite would be granted to them
'Why has an angel not been sent down on him?' they say; yet had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been determined, and then no respite would be given them
And they say, 'Why has not an angel been sent down to him?' And if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided, and then they would have been granted no respite
They say, 'Why has not an angel been sent down to him?' but if we had sent down an angel, the affair would have been decided, and then they would have had no respite
They say, too, "Unless an angel be sent down to him. . . ." But if we had sent down an angel, their judgment would have come on them at once, and they would have had no respite
And they ask: ‘Why has no angel been sent down to him?‘ If We had sent down an angel, judgement would have been passed and they would have never been reprieved
They also say, “Why does an angel not come down to him?” If We had sent an angel, the matter would be decided, and they would not have been allowed any more time [for repentance].
They say: "If an angel only sent down to him!" Yet if We were to send an angel down, the matter would be settled [by destroying them]; then they would no longer be allowed to wait [for repentance].
They say: “Why has not an angel been sent down to him?†If We had sent down an angel, all would have been decided, and they would have been allowed no further respite.
They said, “An angel (that we can see) should have been sent down”... But if We had revealed an angel as such, the matter would have ended; no further time would have been given to them.
And they said: ' Why has not an angel been sent down to him ? And if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been determined, and then they would not be granted any respite
They insolently say: If only an angel had been sent down to companion him - Muhammad- to confer on him dignity in an order of Prophethood! But if We had sent down an angel, then their Hereafter would have been planted in the now and their punishment would not have been put in respite
And they say ask "why has not an angel been sent down to him?" And had We sent down an angel, then the matter would have been decided (and) after that they would not have been allowed time (to amend).
They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them
And they said, "Why has not been sent down to him an Angel?" And if We (had) sent down an Angel, surely (would) have been decid the matter then no respite would have been grant
