So when covered over him the night, he saw a star. He said, "This (is) my Lord." But when it set, he said "Not (do) I like the ones that set."
Then, when the night overshadowed him with its darkness, he beheld a star;., [and] he exclaimed, "This is my Sustainer!" -but when it went down, he said, "I love not the things that go down."
When the night grew dark upon him he beheld a star. He said: This is my Lord. But when it set, he said: I love not things that set
When the night covered him over, He saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, He said: "I love not those that set."
When the night grew dark upon him, he saw a star and said, “This is my Lord!” But when it set, he said, “I do not love things that set.”

Therefore We showed Abraham sovereignty over Heaven and Earth so he might feel reassured.
When the night outspread over him, he saw a star. He said: “This is my Lord.” But when it set, he said: “I don’t love those who set.”

So when night covered him over he noticed a planet (in the sky). He said: “This is my Rabb (Nourisher-Sustainer).” So when it set (i.e., went out of view), he said: “I do not admire (as Nourisher-Sustainer) those who set.”
When the night drew its shadow over him, he saw a star and said, "this is my Lord." But when it set, he said: "I do not love to worship such a god that fades away."
When the night fell over him, he saw a planet. He said, 'This is my lord.' But when it set, he said, 'I do not love those that set.'
So as soon as the night outspread over him, he saw a planet. He said, "This is my Lord." Then, as soon as it set, (Literally: waned, faded) he said, "I do not love the setting (things)."
When it became dark at night, he (Abraham) saw a star and said, "This is my lord." But when it disappeared, he said, "I do not love those who fade away"
So, when the night enveloped him, he saw a star. He said, .This is my Lord. But, when it vanished, he said, .I do not like those who vanish
(Some of his people were idolaters and others were Nature worshipers.) One night when it grew dark upon him he saw a star. Abraham exclaimed to them, "This is my Lord!" But when it went down, he said, "I love not the things that go down."
As the night covered him with darkness, he saw a star and remarked, "This is my Lord!" But when it set, he said, "I do not like those that set."

So when the night darkened on him, he saw a star/planet, he said: "That (is) my lord." So when it set/darkened, he said: "I do not like the setting/disappearing."
When Abraham [going through his out of body experience] saw a shining star [while going into the dark part of the earth,] he said: "This must be the Lord!" When the star disappeared, he said: "I do not like a god that disappears!"
So when the night became dark upon him he saw a star; he said (to Azar / the people), “(You portray that) this is my Lord?”; then when it set he said, “I do not like the things that set.”
And when the night darkened upon him, he saw a star. He said, `Can this be my Lord?' But when it set, he said, I like not those that set.
So when the night spread its darkness over him, he beheld a star and said: ‘Is this my Lord (according to your view)?’ But when it set, he said (communicating to his people): ‘I do not like the setting ones.
Then (after being convinced of Our unity once on the occasion of a debate on the topic) when the night darkened over him, he saw a planet. He said (on seeing it to the idol-worshippers), `Is this my Lord (as you assert)?' But when it set he said, `I do not love the setting ones (to accept as my God).
When the night covered him over with darkness he saw a star. He said: "This is my lord." But when it set, he said: "I like not those that set."

So when the night covered him he saw a planet*. He said, "This is my Fosterer," but when it set, he said, "I do not love those who set." * Probably Venus
