So that you may not grieve over what has escaped you, and (do) not exult at what He has given you. And Allah (does) not love every self-deluded boaster,
[Know this,] so that you may not despair over whatever [good] has escaped you nor exult [unduly] over whatever [good] has come to you: for, God does not love any of those who, out of self-conceit, act in a boastful manner –
That ye grieve not for the sake of that which hath escaped you, nor yet exult because of that which hath been given. Allah loveth not all prideful boasters
In order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor exult over favours bestowed upon you. For Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster,
˹We let you know this˺ so that you neither grieve over what you have missed nor boast over what He has granted you. For Allah does not like whoever is arrogant, boastful—
So you will not grieve for what you missed or rejoice over what He has given you. For God does not like the vain and the arrogant,
so that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant over what you have gained. God loves neither the conceited nor the boastful
So that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant at what He has given you; and Allah does not love any arrogant boaster
so that you not grieve over what slipped away from you nor be glad because of what was given to you. And God loves not any proud, boaster,
so that you should not feel sorry about what may have escaped you, nor yet rejoice in what He has given you. God does not love every conceited boaster
(This is done) in order that you may not grieve for the things that you fail to get, or rejoice over that which has been given to you. And Allah does not like any prideful boasters,
that you not despair over what has passed you by, nor exult in that which He has given unto you. And God loves not any vainglorious boaster
(This is) in order that you may not be sad over what left or bypassed you, and do not indulge in merry-mahead of state about that which He bestowed on you. And Allah does not like any one who is a proud boaster
This is done so that you may not grieve for the things that you miss, or be overjoyed at what you gain; for Allah does not love any vainglorious boaster
That you may not sorrow over what eludes you, nor exult over what He has given you. God does not love the proud snob
So that you may not feel sad for what eluded you nor exult with what He has brought you. And Allah does not love anyone (Literally: every one) who is conceited (and) constantly boastful
so that you would not grieve over what you have lost nor become too happy about what God has granted to you. God does not love the arrogant boastful ones who are niggardly and who try to make other people also niggardly
__ so that you may neither grieve on what has escaped you, nor over-exult on what He has given to you. And Allah does not love any self- admirer, over-proud
Thus despair not over whatever has left you, nor exult for whatever you have been given. For, Allah does not love any of those self-centered boasters
So that you would not feel morose (and mournful) over matters that elude you. (And so that) you would not exult (and gloat) over what He grants you. (Indeed), Allah does not like the arrogant braggart
In order that you may not be sorry over matters that pass you by, nor become overjoyed by mercies bestowed upon you; Allah does not love any petty and showy boasters— (With praise for themselves)
In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful
In order that you do not despair over anything that has passed you by, nor be happy of anything He has bestowed upon you. God does not like those who are boastful, proud
so you need not grieve for what you miss or gloat over what you gain
This is announced lest ye sorrow for the sake of that which hath escaped you, or exult over that which He hath vouchsafed Unto you: And Allah loveth not any vainglorious boaster
Lest you grieve for what you missed, or rejoice at what you received. God does not love the egoist and the braggart
That is so that you will not be grieved about the things that pass you by or exult about the things that come to you. Allah does not love any vain or boastful man:
So that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor exult because of what God has granted you: God does not love anyone proud and boastful –
so that you may not grieve for what escapes you, nor exult for what comes your way, and Allah does not like any swaggering braggart
So that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor be exultant at what He has given you; and Allah does not love any arrogant boaster
So that you do not be sad over what slips away from you (or what you lose) and not to be overjoyed about what He gives you. And God does not like any selfish show off
In order that you may not despair over opportunities that missed you, nor exult over favors bestowed upon you, for God does not love any vain boaster
Its purpose: to ensure you don’t become hopeless because of your loss, nor boast about your gain. Allah doesn’t like the braggarts,
(We do so) that you may not grieve over the loss you suffer, nor exult over what He gave you. Allah does not love the vainglorious, the boastful
In order that you do not despair over anything that has passed you by, nor be happy of anything He has bestowed upon you. God does not love those who are boastful, proud
So, may you not despair over what has eluded you, nor exult over what He has given you. And Allah loves not any self-conceited boaster
So that you may not give over what is lost to you, nor rejoice over what is given to you and Allah loves not any exultant, boastful.
Thus, you should not grieve over anything you miss, nor be proud of anything He has bestowed upon you. GOD does not love those who are boastful, proud.
so that you will not be saddened for whatever does not come to you, nor be overjoyed in what has come to you. Allah does not love those who are proudand boastfu
So that you grieve not for what has escaped you, nor exult in that which He has given you. And Allah loves not any arrogant boaster
In order that you not grieve/sadden/sorrow for what passed/missed your permanently, and do not rejoice/delight with what He gave you, and God does not love/like every/each conceited/arrogant, proud/ arrogant (person)
This is mentioned so that you do not grief over a loss nor be proud of whatever God has given to you [while you may think that you have earned it yourself]. Indeed God does not like those who are proud and arrogant
So that you may not be saddened upon losing something, nor rejoice upon what you are given; and Allah does not like any boastful, conceited person
That you may not grieve over what is lost to you nor exult because of that which HE has bestowed upon you. And ALLAH loves not any conceited boaster
So that you may not grieve over what goes out of your hands, nor gloat in pride over what He grants you. And Allah does not like anyone arrogant and proud
(Allah has apprised you of this) that you may neither grieve over that (good) which is lost to you, nor exult because of that which He has granted you. Allah has no love for all those who are haughty and boastful
In order that you may not be sad over matters that you fail to get, nor rejoice because of that which has been given to you. And Allah likes not prideful boasters
that you may not grieve for what escapes you, nor rejoice in what has come to you; God loves not any man proud and boastful
And this is written lest ye immoderately grieve for the good which escapeth you, or rejoice for that which happeneth unto you; for God loveth no proud or vain-glorious person
That ye may not vex yourselves for what ye miss, nor be overjoyed at what He gives you; for God loves no arrogant boaster
Lest ye distress yourselves if good things escape you, and be over joyous for what falleth to your share. God loveth not the presumptuous, the boaster
so that you may not grieve for the good things you miss, or be overjoyed at what you gain. God does not love the haughty, the vainglorious
Therefore, you should not despair over missed (opportunities) or gloat over (blessings) bestowed upon you. Allah does not love arrogant boasters.
so that you should not feel sorry about what may have escaped you, nor yet rejoice in what He has given you. Allah (God) does not love every conceited boaster
We inform you of this in order that you do not despair over your losses or exult (in pride) over what We have given you, for Allah does not like the boastful and the arrogant!
(You are informed of this) so that you may not despair over (matters) which have gone out of your hands (i.e. your failures) nor be exultant because of that which He has given you (of success). And Allah does not like all those who are proud, boastful,
So that you people apprehend that what has befallen you would never have missed you, nor what failed to hit you was meant to aim at you; and so do not nurse despair nor grieve at heart for what you failed to attain, nor boast your wit and exult over the favours you were made to wear, for Allah detests every boastful who exalts himself unduly and displays inordinate self-esteens
