And certainly fulfilled to you Allah His promise, when you were killing them by His permission, until when you lost courage and you fell into dispute concerning the order and you disobeyed from after [what] He (had) shown you what you love. Among you (are some) who desire the world and among you (are some) who desire the Hereafter. Then He diverted you from them so that He may test you. And surely He forgave you. And Allah (is the) Possessor (of) Bounty for the believers.
AND, INDEED, God made good His promise unto you when, by His leave, you were about to destroy your foes - until the moment when you lost heart and acted contrary to the [Prophet's] command, and disobeyed after He had brought you within view of that [victory] for which you were longing. There were among you such as cared for this world [alone], just as there were among you such as cared for the life to come: whereupon, in order that He might put you to a test, He prevented you from defeating your foes. But now He has effaced your sin: for God is limitless in His bounty unto the believers
Allah verily made good His promise unto you when ye routed them by His leave, until (the moment) when your courage failed you, and ye disagreed about the order and ye disobeyed, after He had shown you that for which ye long. Some of you desired the world, and some of you desired the Hereafter. Therefore He made you flee from them, that He might try you. Yet now He hath forgiven you. Allah is a Lord of Kindness to believers
Allah did indeed fulfil His promise to you when ye with His permission Were about to annihilate your enemy,-until ye flinched and fell to disputing about the order, and disobeyed it after He brought you in sight (of the booty) which ye covet. Among you are some that hanker after this world and some that desire the Hereafter. Then did He divert you from your foes in order to test you but He forgave you: For Allah is full of grace to those who believe
Indeed, Allah fulfilled His promise to you when you ˹initially˺ swept them away by His Will, then your courage weakened and you disputed about the command and disobeyed, after Allah had brought victory within your reach. Some of you were after worldly gain while others desired a heavenly reward. He denied you victory over them as a test, yet He has pardoned you. And Allah is Gracious to the believers.

Some of you long for this world, and others long for the life to come. Then, in order that He might put you to a test, He kept you from winning. Then, later He pardoned you. But now He has pardoned you: God is most gracious to the believers
And certainly Allah made good to you His promise when you slew them by His permission, until when you became weak-hearted and disputed about the affair and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you loved; of you were some who desired this world and of you were some who desired the hereafter; then He turned you away from them that He might try you; and He has certainly pardoned you, and Allah is Gracious to the believers
And, certainly, God was sincere to you in His promise when you blasted the enemy with His permission until you lost heart and you contended with one another about the command and you rebelled after He caused you to see what you longed for in the spoils of war. Among you are some who want the present and among you are some who want the world to come. Again, He turned you away from them that He test you and, certainly, He pardoned you. And God is Possessor of Grace for the ones who believe.
God confirmed His promise to you as you grappled with them by His permission, until you faltered and argued about the matter; you disobeyed after He had shown you what you would love (to have). Some of you want this world, while others of you want the Hereafter. Then he diverted you from them so He might test you. Yet He has overlooked it in you; God possesses bounty for believers.
Indeed Allah was truthful in His Promise to you when you were destroying them (your enemy in the battle of Uhud) with His permission, until when you showed weakness and fell into dispute about the order, and disobeyed (the prophet) after what He showed you (the booty) which you loved. Then He turned you from them, to test you, and He certainly pardoned you—God is Possessed of Bounty for the believers

Amongst you (is) that who desires this world and amongst you (is) that who desires the Hereafter. Then He separated you from them so that He may assess you. And certainly He forgave you. And Allah is (Full) of Grace to the Believers

And indeed Allah has already sincerely (made good) His promise (Literally: was truly sincere in His promise) to you as you overwhelmed them by His permission until you were disheartened and contended together about the Command (i.e. the Command of Allah) and disobeyed (i.e. disobeyed the Messenger) even after He had shown you what you love (The reference is to the Battle of 'Uhud when the archers deserted their posts to share in the spoils). Some of you (there were) who would have the present (life) (Literally: the lowly (life), i.e., life of this world) and some of you (there were) who would have the Hereafter. Thereafter He has made you turn about away from them, that he may try you. And He has already been clement towards you; and Allah is The Owner of Grace upon the believers
God certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were fighting the unbelievers, by His permission. Even after We showed you what you wanted, you began to lose courage, started quarreling with each other, and disobeyed God's orders. Some of you want worldly gains and others of you want rewards in the hereafter. Then He let you face defeat in order to test you. However, He forgave you. God is Gracious to the believers
Allah has surely fulfilled His promise to you when you, with His will, were killing them off, until you showed weakness and disputed in the matter and disobeyed after He had shown you what you liked. Among you there were some who were seeking the mundane, and among you there were others who were seeking the Hereafter. After that, He reversed your position against them, so that He may test you. Of course, He has forgiven you. Allah is All-Gracious to the believers
Allah made good His promise to you when you routed them by His leave. But then you wavered, disputed among yourselves, and disobeyed after He had shown you the victory you wanted. You were winning the battle of Uhud, but then some of you were distracted by the spoils of the world, while others were concerned with the Hereafter. You disengaged from the enemy and were tested according to His Law. When you mended, Allah pardoned you. Allah is full of Grace for the true believers
Allah had certainly made good on His promise to you. (Initially), it was you who routed them by His will, until you lost heart and began to dispute (and defy) the order (of the messenger). You violated (the order) as soon as He displayed to you that which you (longed for and) loved _ (the spoils of war). Among you are some who, covet (the benefits and pleasures of) this world, and among you are others who desire the (benefits of the) afterlife. Thus, in order to put you through a test, He diverted you from your foe. He has, in fact (already) forgiven you. Allah is most Gracious to the believers
And Allah did indeed fulfill His promise to you, when you, with His permission were about to destroy your enemy— Until you hesitated and fell to disputing about the order, and disobeyed it after He brought you in sight (of the things won over in the war) which you love. Among you are some who desire this world and some that desire the Hereafter. He diverted you from your enemies in order to test you. Yet surely, He forgave you: And Allah is full of Grace to those who believe
And Allah had certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing the enemy by His permission until [the time] when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love. He has now forgiven you: God is most gracious to the believers
And Allah had assuredly made good His promise unto you when ye were extirpating them by His leave, until when ye flagged and ye disagreed about the command and ye disobeyed after He had shewn you that for which ye longed. Of you some desired the World and of you some desired the Hereafter, wherefore He turned you away from them that he might prove; and of a surety He hath pardoned you And Allah is Gracious unto the believers
The promise made to you by God was verified when you destroyed (the foe) by His leave, until you were unmanned and disputed the order, and thus disobeyed (the Apostle) even after He had brought you in sight of (victory) you longed for. Some of you desired this world, and some of you the next. Then He put you to flight before (them) in order to try you. But (now) He has forgiven you, for surely God is kind to the faithful
Allah fulfilled His promise to you when you were slaughtering them by His permission. But then you faltered, disputing the command, and disobeyed after He showed you what you love.* Among you are those who want this world and among you are those who want the next World. Then He turned you from them in order to test you but He has pardoned you. Allah shows favour to the muminun.

But He has surely pardoned you: God has grace and bounty for the believers

Some of you want this world and some of you want the hereafter. So He turned you away from (following) them to test you, and He has certainly excused you, and God is gracious to the believers
God indeed fulfilled His promise to you when you, with His permission, were about to annihilate your enemy, until you flinched and began disputing about the orders and did not follow them after He brought you in sight of the spoils that you desired. Among you are some who pursue the present and some who pursue the hereafter. Then He diverted you from your enemies in order to challenge you, but He forgave you, for God is full of grace to those who believe
Allah fulfilled His promise of help, so you defeated them, then you lost courage, argued about the order you had been given and disobeyed, even after He had shown you what you desired – the fact is that some of you long for the world, whilst others among you long for the Hereafter – and then He saved you from them in order to test you further. Now He has pardoned you. Allah is Gracious to the believers.
Allah surely fulfilled His promise (of succour) when you were slaying them by His leave until the moment when you flagged and quarrelled among yourselves about the matter, and acted against the order of (the Prophet). Soon He showed you what you had intensely desired - for some among you sought this world and some of you sought the Next. Thereupon, in order to put you to a test He turned you away from your foes. Still He pardoned you after that for Allah is Bounteous to those who believe

And Allah has favours to showser upon those who believe.
And verily, Allah did prove the truth of His promise to you when you were killing the infidels by His leave, until when you showed weakness and quarrelled about the order and Dis-obeyed after He had shown you the thing you desired for. Of you some one desired the world and of you some one desired the Hereafter, then He turned your faces from them that He might; test you; and no doubt, He forgive you and Allah is Bounteous over Muslims.

But then, some of you became distracted by the spoils of this world, while others were rightly concerned with the Hereafter. He then diverted you from them to test you. He has pardoned you. And God had been (E) truthful to you (in) His promise to you when you killed/uprooted them with His permission, until you weakened and became cowardly/failed and you disputed in the matter/affair, and you disobeyed from after what He showed you what you love/like, from you who want the present world and from you who want the end (other life), then He diverted you from them, to test you and He had (E) forgiven on you, and God (is owner) of grace on the believers
God indeed fulfilled His promise to give you victory [in the battle of ohud), giving you the upper hand at the beginning. It was you who disobeyed [the order of Commander Mohammad] and started a dispute among yourselves [and left your positions in order to secure your share of the confiscated materials.] Among you, there are those who are in love with this materialistic world and those who care about their Hereafter. Thus you were tried [to find out for yourself who fights for the acquisition of wealth and who fights for the cause of God.] That is how you lost and had to retreat. The Lord, however, forgave you as He is the most gracious to the believers
And indeed Allah has proved true His promise to you, when you used to slay the disbelievers by His command; until the time you people lost courage and disputed about the order and disobeyed after Allah had shown you what pleases you; some of you desired the world, and some of you desired the Hereafter; thereafter He turned you away from them in order to test you; and undoubtedly He has forgiven you; and Allah is Most Munificent towards the Muslims
And ALLAH had surely made good to you HIS promise when you were slaying and destroying them by HIS leave, until, when your courage failed you and you disputed among yourselves concerning the order and you disobeyed, after HE had shown you that which you love, HE withdrew HIS help. Among you were those who desired the present world, and among you were those who desired the Hereafter. Then HE turned you away from them, that HE might try you - and HE has surely pardoned you, and ALLAH is Gracious to the believers
Surely, Allah fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing them by His command until you showed cowardice and you started disputing about the command (of the Messenger [blessings and peace be upon him]) and later disobeyed (him), whereas Allah had brought that victory in your sight which you coveted. Amongst you were some who desired the gains of this world, and some others who sought reward in the Hereafter. Then He turned you back from them (dominated) so that He tests you. (Later, however,) He pardoned you and Allah is Most Gracious to the believers
And certainly Allah had made good His promise to you when you were slaying them to pieces by His leave (in the Battle of Uhud), until, when you became lax and disagreed among yourselves about the (implications of the) order (of the Prophet), and you disobeyed (your leader Abdullah bin Jubair), after He had brought that (victory) which you desired within your sight (He withdrew His help from you). There were some among you who desired the present life and among you were those who desired the life to come. Then He turned you away from (gaining clear victory over) them (- the enemy), that He might reveal your (true) selves. Yet He surely pardoned you. Allah is Gracious to the believers
And Allah did indeed fulfil His Promise to you when you were killing them (your enemy) with His Permission; until (the moment) you lost your courage and fell to disputing about the order, and disobeyed after He showed you (of the booty) which you love. Among you are some that desire this world and some that desire the Hereafter. Then He made you flee from them (your enemy), that He might test you. Some among you wanted this world; and some wanted the world to come. He allowed you to be defeated in order to test you. But now He has pardoned you, for God is gracious to the faithful

You disobeyed the order after He had shown you that [victory] which you would love. Some of you desired this world. Some of you desired the hereafter. He diverted you from (your foes) so that He may test you. Certainly, He has forgiven you. Allah is gracious to the believers.
[in the Battle of Badr] Allah (God) confirmed His promise to you as you put them to death by His permission, [in the Battle of Uhud] when you faltered and argued about the matter; and you disobeyed after He had shown you what you would love (to have)[spoils]. Some of you want this world, while others of you want the Hereafter. Then he diverted you from them so He might test you. Yet He has overlooked it in you; Allah (God) possesses bounty for believers.

But when Allah showed you that which you love (victory and spoils), you showed weakness and rebelled and quarreled against the command you were given. Some of you were after worldly things (so you abandoned your posts and ran after the spoils) and some of you were after eternal life (so you obeyed the command of the Rasul, persevered and became martyrs). Then Allah turned you back to show you your state. But Allah has forgiven you. Allah is full of bounty for those who believe.
And indeed Allah fulfilled His promise to you (in the first stage) when, with His leave, you slew them until when you became weak-hearted and disputed about the matter, and you disobeyed after that He showed you that which you loved. Some of you desire the world and some of you desire the Hereafter. Then He turned you away from them (the disbelievers) so He might try you. And He has certainly forgiven you; and Allah is gracious to the believers
Allah has kept His promise to you as was shown in putting your enemy to rout, Allah permitting, until you began to falter by reason of opposing arguments. Some were in favour of obeying the Prophet's command and maintaining their posts and the others against his command, running after booty, at a time when the Prophet was about to make the victory. Among you are those who are concerned only with the interests and pleasures of life below and its mundane things, and others whose main concern is Allah’s grace Hereafter. Then did Allah distract your minds and your attention and made you draw off from the battle field to test your true inclination and He afforded you forgiveness. Allah’s bounty abounds in those whose hearts have been impressed with the image of religious and spiritual virtues
And Allah fulfilled His promise to you when you destroyed them with His permission, until when you became weak hearted and disputed about the affair and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you loved (booty at battle of Uhad). Among you is one who intends (to receive the benefit in) the world and among you is one who intends (to receive the benefit in) the hereafter. Then He turned you away from them that He might test you and He has pardoned you and Allah is Gracious to the believers.
