liyaqṭaʿa ṭarafan mina alladhīna kafarū aw yakbitahum fayanqalibū khāibīn
That He may cut off a part of those who disbelieved or suppress them so (that) they turn back disappointed.
[and] that [through you] He might destroy some of those who were bent on denying the truth, and so abase the others that they would withdraw in utter hopelessness
That He may cut off a part of those who disbelieve, or overwhelm them so that they retire, frustrated
That He might cut off a fringe of the Unbelievers or expose them to infamy, and they should then be turned back, frustrated of their purpose
to destroy a group of the disbelievers and humble the rest, causing them to withdraw in disappointment.
He destroyed a flank of the unbelievers and suppressed them, so they would retreat frustrated in failure.
and so that He might cut off a portion of those who are bent on denying the truth or abase them so that they might be turned back frustrated
That He may cut off a portion from among those who disbelieve, or abase them so that they should return disappointed of attaining what they desired
for He will sever a selection of those who were ungrateful or suppress them so they turn about as ones who are frustrated.
so He may cut off a flank from those who disbelieve and restrain them, and they will be sent home disappointed
(Allah might) cut off a group of those who disbelieve, or subdue them, so that they (withdraw) frustrated.
that He may cut off a faction of those who disbelieve or abase them, so that they be turned back disappointed
that He might cut off a part of those who disbelieved or cast them down to infamy, so that they return frustrated
That He might cut off a fringe of the unbelievers or expose them to infamy, and they should then be turned back, frustrated of their purpose.
He thus cuts off a section of those who disbelieved, or subdues them, so they retreat disappointed.
That He may cut off a fringe of the ones who have disbelieved or suppress them, so they would turn over disappointed
(They are sent) to break the power of the unbelievers or disgrace them and make them return after having lost all hope."
(Allah helped you) so that He may cut off a flank of disbelievers or throw them down in disgrace, and they go back frustrated
He annihilated some disbelievers, or neutralized them and that they end up as the losers
(He will grant you victory) in order to sever a (significant) section (and strength) of the unbelievers, and to crush them so they may retreat in frustration
That He may cut off a fraction of the Unbelievers or expose them to shame, and they should then be turned back, frustrated from their purpose
That He might cut down a section of the disbelievers or suppress them so that they turn back disappointed
Thus He would sever a group of those who reject, or disgrace them; then they will turn back frustrated
and in order to cut off the flanks of the disbelievers’ army and frustrate them, to make them withdraw in total defeat
That He may cut: off a portion of those who disbelieve, or abase them so that they may go back disappointed
In order that He may cut off a part of unbelievers or overthrow them, and they turn back in frustration
and so that He might cut off a group of those who are kafir or crush them and they might be turned back in defeat.
And that (through you) He might cut off a (leading) party of those who disbelieved, or overwhelm them, so that they (and others) would retreat in utter disappointment
that He may cut down a section of the faithless, or subdue them, so that they retreat disappointed
That He may cut off some of the faithless, or overwhelm them that they may retire frustrated (from their purpose)
In order to cut off (and wipe out) a part of those who disbelieved, or to subdue them so they turn back disappointed
He might cut off a fringe of the unbelievers or expose them to dishonor, and they will then be turned back, defeated
It was done to cut off one of the flanks of the disbelievers’ army or to weaken them so much that they fled in disarray.
And Allah provided this aid to you in order to cut off a part of those who disbelieved and frustrate them so that they retreat in utter disappointment
Thus He will sever a group of those who reject, or disgrace them; then they will turn back frustrated.
To cut off one side of those who suppressed the Truth or to restrain them, and they should then turn back frustrated
In order that He might cut a portion of the infidels or abase them, so that they may go back dis-appointed.
He thus annihilates some disbelievers, or neutralizes them; they always end up the losers.
And that He might cut off a part of those who disbelieve or suppress them, so that they will turn back, disappointed
That He may cut off a part of those who disbelieve or abase them so that they should return in failure
To cut off/separate an end/edge from those who disbelieved, or He humiliates/destroys/returns them with rage, so they turn/return failures
[God will help you] so that He may destroy a group of the disbelievers or to expose them and leave them alone, disappointed in their disgrace
So He may cut off a part of the disbelievers, or disgrace them so that they return unsuccessful
This will be, that HE might cut off a part of the disbelievers or abase them so that they may go back frustrated
(Also) because (Allah) may exterminate a section of the unbelievers or abase them so that they go back defeated
(God will do accordingly at Uhud) with the result that He may cut of a section of those who disbelieve and their leaders and vanquish others with humiliation so that they might go back utterly frustrated
That He might cut off a part of those who disbelieve, or expose them to infamy, so that they retire frustrated
and that He might cut off a part of the unbelievers or frustrate them, so that they turned in their tracks, disappointed
That he should cut off the uttermost part of the unbelievers, or cast them down, or that they should be overthrown and unsuccessful, is nothing to thee
to cut off the flank of those who misbelieve, or make them downcast, that they may retire disappointed.
and that He might cut off the uttermost part of those who believed not, or cast them down so that they should be overthrown, defeated without resource
and that He might cut off the flank of the unbelievers or put them to flight, that they might withdraw defeated
He may vanquish some of the disbelievers or suppress them so that they may retreat, frustrated.
so He may destroy a flank from those who disbelieve or dishonor them [by defeat], and they will be sent home disappointed
It is in order to destroy some of the non-believers, and so abase others that they lose and withdraw.
And (Allah did this) to cut off (destroy) a part of the deniers of reality, and to make the other part turn back, abased.
(The Divine help was for this) that He might cut off a part of the disbelievers or abase them so that they turn back disappointedly
Allah ordained this course of events. He purposed to strike a part of the evil group of infidels at the root and so with one single blow would they be severed, or to disgrace them and enrage their blood and put them into such a commotion that would precipitate their humiliation and defeat
that He may cut off a portion from among those who did not believe or disgrace them so that they should go back (as) failures.
