Then they belied both of them they were then of those who were destroyed.
They rejected the two, and consequently, they were annihilated.

So they denied them both (Moosa (Moses) and Haroon (Aaron)) and became of those who were destroyed
They accused them of lies. They became among those who were destroyed.
They rejected them both, and so eventually were wiped out.
Thus, they gave the lie to them, and earned their place among the doomed.

And they accused them of falsehood, and in consequence were they added to the list of those who perished
So they said, "Shall we believe in two men like us while (the people) of their community are our servants?"
