AYAH at-Taubah 9:96

Arabic يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ لِتَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ فَإِن تَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَرْضَىٰ عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِين zoom
Transliteration Yahlifoona lakum litardaw AAanhum fa-in tardaw AAanhum fa-inna Allaha la yarda AAani alqawmi alfasiqeena zoom
Transliteration-2 yaḥlifūna lakum litarḍaw ʿanhum fa-in tarḍaw ʿanhum fa-inna l-laha lā yarḍā ʿani l-qawmi l-fāsiqīn zoom

Generally Accepted Translations of the Meaning
Muhammad Asad They will swear to you with a view to making you pleased with them: but [even] should you be pleased with them, verily, God shall never be pleased with iniquitous folk zoom
M. M. Pickthall They swear unto you, that ye may accept them. Though ye accept them. Allah verily accepteth not wrongdoing folk zoom
Yusuf Ali (Saudi Rev. 1985) They will swear unto you, that ye may be pleased with them but if ye are pleased with them, Allah is not pleased with those who disobey zoom
