| Arabic | | إِنَّمَا النَّسِيءُ زِيَادَةٌ فِي الْكُفْرِ يُضَلُّ بِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُحِلُّونَهُ عَامًا وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُ عَامًا لِّيُوَاطِئُوا عِدَّةَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ فَيُحِلُّوا مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ زُيِّنَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ أَعْمَالِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْكَافِرِين |  |

| disbelieve. | kafarū | كَفَرُوا | ك ف ر | |
| They make it lawful | yuḥillūnahu | يُحِلُّونَهُ | ح ل ل | |
| and make it unlawful | wayuḥarrimūnahu | وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُ | ح ر م | |
| (another) year, | ʿāman | عَامًا | ع و م | |
| to adjust | liyuwāṭiū | لِيُوَاطِئُوا | و ط ا | |
| the number | ʿiddata | عِدَّةَ | ع د د | |
| has made unlawful | ḥarrama | حَرَّمَ | ح ر م | |
| and making lawful | fayuḥillū | فَيُحِلُّوا | ح ل ل | |
| has made unlawful | ḥarrama | حَرَّمَ | ح ر م | |
| Is made fair-seeming | zuyyina | زُيِّنَ | ز ى ن | |
| (of) their deeds. | aʿmālihim | أَعْمَالِهِمْ | ع م ل | |
| And Allah | wal-lahu | وَاللَّهُ | ا ل ه | |
| the people - | l-qawma | الْقَوْمَ | ق و م | |
| the disbelievers. | l-kāfirīna | الْكَافِرِينَ | ك ف ر | |
