| Arabic | | وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِن بَنِي آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ شَهِدْنَا أَن تَقُولُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَٰذَا غَافِلِين |  |

| "Am I not | alastu | أَلَسْتُ | ل ى س | |

| They said, | qālū | قَالُوا | ق و ل | |
| we have testified." | shahid'nā | شَهِدْنَا | ش ه د | |
| you say | taqūlū | تَقُولُوا | ق و ل | |
| (on the) Day | yawma | يَوْمَ | ى و م | |
| (of) the Resurrection, | l-qiyāmati | الْقِيَامَةِ | ق و م | |
