| | Ali Bakhtiari Nejad rendition of Surah The Reality, The Inevitable(al-Haqqah) --- |
---|
69:1 | | The inevitable disaster |
69:2 | | What is the inevitable disaster |
69:3 | | And do you know what the inevitable disaster is |
69:4 | | Thamud and Aad denied the pounding catastrophe |
69:5 | | So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the rebellion (or the thunderbolt) |
69:6 | | And as for Aad, they were destroyed by a violent ice cold win |
69:7 | | which He subjected them to seven night and eight days of it consecutively, then you see the people fallen down in it as if they were trunks of hollow (and dried up) palm tree |
69:8 | | So do you see any of them left |
69:9 | | And Pharaoh and those before him and the turned over cities (Sodom and Gomorrah) came with sinning. |
69:10 | | Then they disobeyed their Master's messenger, so He took them (into punishment), an increasing punishment |
69:11 | | Indeed when the water rose up, We carried you on the sailing ship (the Ark) |
69:12 | | So that We make it a reminder for you, and attentive ear to remember it |
69:13 | | So when the trumpet is blown, a single blo |
69:14 | | and the earth and the mountains are lifted and crushed in a single blow |
69:15 | | Then on that day the event happens |
69:16 | | and the sky splits, then on that day it (the sky) is weak |
69:17 | | and the angels are at its sides, and eight (angels) carry your Master’s throne above them. |
69:18 | | On that day you are presented (before God) and none of your secrets remains hidden |
69:19 | | So, as for anyone who is given his book (of records) to his right hand, he says: here, read my book |
69:20 | | indeed I thought that I come across my account |
69:21 | | Then he will be in a pleasant life |
69:22 | | in an excellent garden |
69:23 | | its bunches of fruits are nearby (within easy reach) |
69:24 | | (They are told): eat and drink joyfully for what you sent in advance in the days gone by |
69:25 | | But anyone who is given his book to his left hand, he says: I wish I was not given my book |
69:26 | | and I did not know what is my account |
69:27 | | I wish it was the end |
69:28 | | my wealth was of no use to me |
69:29 | | my power departed from me |
69:30 | | (It will be said): take him and shackle hi |
69:31 | | then make him enter (and burn in) the hellfir |
69:32 | | then put him in a chain that its length is seventy cubits |
69:33 | | for indeed he would not believe in the great God |
69:34 | | and he would not encourage feeding the poor |
69:35 | | So there is no close friend for him here today |
69:36 | | and no food except pus |
69:37 | | that no one eats it except the sinners |
69:38 | | So I swear by what you se |
69:39 | | and what you do not se |
69:40 | | that it (Quran) is certainly a noble messenger’s word |
69:41 | | and it is not word of a poet. A few of you believe (or you believe a little) |
69:42 | | And it is not word of a fortune-teller (or a priest). You take a little notice |
69:43 | | A sending down from the Master of Human kind |
69:44 | | And if he had made up some saying (and attributed them) to Us |
69:45 | | We would have certainly taken him by the right han |
69:46 | | then We would have cut off his main arter |
69:47 | | and none of you could have kept it away from him |
69:48 | | And certainly it (Quran) is certainly a reminder for those who control themselves |
69:49 | | And We certainly know that some of you are deniers |
69:50 | | And it is certainly (cause of) a regret for the disbelievers |
69:51 | | And it is certainly the sure truth |
69:52 | | So glorify the name of your great Master |
