| Arabic | | وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرَىٰ أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا مِنَ الْحَقِّ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِين |  |

| their eyes | aʿyunahum | أَعْيُنَهُمْ | ع ى ن | |
| overflowing | tafīḍu | تَفِيضُ | ف ى ض | |
| the tears, | l-damʿi | الدَّمْعِ | د م ع | |
| they recognized | ʿarafū | عَرَفُوا | ع ر ف | |
| the truth. | l-ḥaqi | الْحَقِّ | ح ق ق | |
| They say, | yaqūlūna | يَقُولُونَ | ق و ل | |
| "Our Lord, | rabbanā | رَبَّنَا | ر ب ب | |
| we have believed | āmannā | ءَامَنَّا | ا م ن | |
| so write us | fa-uk'tub'nā | فَاكْتُبْنَا | ك ت ب | |
| the witnesses. | l-shāhidīna | الشَّاهِدِينَ | ش ه د | |
