| Arabic | | تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا لَا يُرَىٰ إِلَّا مَسَاكِنُهُمْ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِين |  |

| Then they became (such), | fa-aṣbaḥū | فَأَصْبَحُوا | ص ب ح | |
| their dwellings. | masākinuhum | مَسَاكِنُهُمْ | س ك ن | |
| Thus | kadhālika | كَذَلِكَ | ذ ل ك | |
| We recompense | najzī | نَجْزِي | ج ز ى | |
| the people | l-qawma | الْقَوْمَ | ق و م | |
| [the] criminals. | l-muj'rimīna | الْمُجْرِمِينَ | ج ر م | |
