| Arabic | | خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى أَلَا هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّار |  |

| the heavens | | l-samāwāti | | السَّمَاوَاتِ | | س م و | |
| and the earth | | wal-arḍa | | وَالْأَرْضَ | | ا ر ض | |
| in [the] truth. | | bil-ḥaqi | | بِالْحَقِّ | | ح ق ق | |
| He wraps | | yukawwiru | | يُكَوِّرُ | | ك و ر | |
| the night | | al-layla | | اللَّيْلَ | | ل ى ل | |
| the day | | l-nahāri | | النَّهَارِ | | ن ه ر | |
| and wraps | | wayukawwiru | | وَيُكَوِّرُ | | ك و ر | |
| the day | | l-nahāra | | النَّهَارَ | | ن ه ر | |
| the night. | | al-layli | | اللَّيْلِ | | ل ى ل | |
| And He subjected | | wasakhara | | وَسَخَّرَ | | س خ ر | |
| the sun | | l-shamsa | | الشَّمْسَ | | ش م س | |
| and the moon, | | wal-qamara | | وَالْقَمَرَ | | ق م ر | |
| for a term | | li-ajalin | | لِأَجَلٍ | | ا ج ل | |
| specified. | | musamman | | مُسَمًّى | | س م و | |
| Unquestionably, | | alā | | أَلَا | | ل ا | |
| (is) the All-Mighty, | | l-ʿazīzu | | الْعَزِيزُ | | ع ز ز | |
| the Oft-Forgiving. | | l-ghafāru | | الْغَفَّارُ | | غ ف ر | |
