| Arabic | | وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ الرِّيحَ غُدُوُّهَا شَهْرٌ وَرَوَاحُهَا شَهْرٌ وَأَسَلْنَا لَهُ عَيْنَ الْقِطْرِ وَمِنَ الْجِنِّ مَن يَعْمَلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِ وَمَن يَزِغْ مِنْهُمْ عَنْ أَمْرِنَا نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ السَّعِير |  |

| And to Sulaiman, | | walisulaymāna | | وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ | | س ل م | |
| the wind - | | l-rīḥa | | الرِّيحَ | | ر و ح | |
| its morning course | | ghuduwwuhā | | غُدُوُّهَا | | غ د و | |
| (was) a month | | shahrun | | شَهْرٌ | | ش ه ر | |
| and its afternoon course | | warawāḥuhā | | وَرَوَاحُهَا | | ر و ح | |
| (was) a month, | | shahrun | | شَهْرٌ | | ش ه ر | |
| and We caused to flow | | wa-asalnā | | وَأَسَلْنَا | | س ى ل | |
| (of) molten copper. | | l-qiṭ'ri | | الْقِطْرِ | | ق ط ر | |
| the jinn | | l-jini | | الْجِنِّ | | ج ن ن | |
| worked | | yaʿmalu | | يَعْمَلُ | | ع م ل | |
| (his) hands | | yadayhi | | يَدَيْهِ | | ى د ى | |
| by the permission | | bi-idh'ni | | بِإِذْنِ | | ا ذ ن | |
| (of) his Lord. | | rabbihi | | رَبِّهِ | | ر ب ب | |
| And whoever | | waman | | وَمَنْ | | م ن | |
| deviated | | yazigh | | يَزِغْ | | ز ى غ | |
| among them | | min'hum | | مِنْهُمْ | | م ن | |
| Our Command, | | amrinā | | أَمْرِنَا | | ا م ر | |
| We will make him taste | | nudhiq'hu | | نُذِقْهُ | | ذ و ق | |
| (the) punishment | | ʿadhābi | | عَذَابِ | | ع ذ ب | |
| (of) the Blaze. | | l-saʿīri | | السَّعِيرِ | | س ع ر | |
