| Arabic | | وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَكْتُمُونَهُ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَاءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْا بِهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُون |  |

| Then they threw it | fanabadhūhu | فَنَبَذُوهُ | ن ب ذ | |

| and they exchanged | wa-ish'taraw | وَاشْتَرَوْا | ش ر ى | |
| (for) a price | thamanan | ثَمَنًا | ث م ن | |

| And wretched | fabi'sa | فَبِئْسَ | ب ا س | |
