nabadha
vb. (1) perf. act.
2:100
'Awakullamā `Āhadū `Ahdāan Nabadhahu Farīqun Minhum Bal 'Aktharuhum Lā Yu'uminūna
Is it that each time they make a pledge, a group of them breaks it? Alas, most of them do not believe.
2:101
Wa Lammā Jā'ahum Rasūlun Min `Indi Allāhi Muşaddiqun Limā Ma`ahum Nabadha Farīqun Mina Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba Kitāba Allāhi Warā'a žuhūrihim Ka'annahum Lā Ya`lamūna
And when a messenger came to them from God, authenticating what was with them, a group of those who had already received the Book placed the Book of God behind their backs as if they did not know.
3:187
Wa 'Idh 'Akhadha Allāhu Mīthāqa Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-Kitāba Latubayyinunnahu Lilnnāsi Wa Lā Taktumūnahu Fanabadhūhu Warā'a žuhūrihim Wa Ashtaraw Bihi Thamanāan Qalīlāan Fabi'sa Mā Yashtarūna
And God took the covenant of those who were given the Book: "You will make it clear to the people and not conceal it." But they placed it behind their backs and purchased with it a cheap price. Miserable indeed is what they have purchased.
20:96
Qāla Başurtu Bimā Lam Yabşurū Bihi FaqabaĐtu QabĐatan Min 'Athari Ar-Rasūli Fanabadhtuhā Wa Kadhalika Sawwalat Lī Nafsī
He said: "I noticed what they did not notice, so I took a handful from where the messenger was standing, and I cast it in. This is what my soul inspired me to do."
28:40
Fa'akhadhnāhu Wa Junūdahu Fanabadhnāhum Fī Al-Yammi Fānžur Kayfa Kāna `Āqibatu Až-žālimīna
So We took him and his soldiers, and We cast them into the sea. So see how was the end of the wicked!
37:145
Fanabadhnāhu Bil-`Arā'i Wa Huwa Saqīmun
So We threw him on the shore while he was sick.
51:40
Fa'akhadhnāhu Wa Junūdahu Fanabadhnāhum Fī Al-Yammi Wa Huwa Mulīmun
So We took him and his troops; We cast them into the sea, and he was to blame.

8:58
Wa 'Immā Takhāfanna Min Qawmin Khiyānatan Fānbidh 'Ilayhim `Alá Sawā'in 'Inna Allāha Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Khā'inīna
And if you are being betrayed by a people, then you shall likewise move against them. God does not love the betrayers.
perf. pass.
68:49
Lawlā 'An Tadārakahu Ni`matun Min Rabbihi Lanubidha Bil-`Arā'i Wa Huwa Madhmūmun
Had it not been for the grace of his Lord, he would have remained trapped, while he was to be blamed.
impf. pass.
104:4
Kallā Layunbadhanna Fī Al-Ĥuţamahi
Never! He will be thrown into the Destroyer.

19:16
Wa Adhkur Fī Al-Kitābi Maryama 'Idh Antabadhat Min 'Ahlihā Makānāan Sharqīyāan
And relate in the Book, Mary, when she withdrew herself from her family to a place which was to the east.
19:22
Faĥamalat/hu Fāntabadhat Bihi Makānāan Qaşīyāan
So she was pregnant with him, and she went to deliver in a far place.
