| Arabic | | فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا لَنَا خَاشِعِين |  |

| So We responded | | fa-is'tajabnā | | فَاسْتَجَبْنَا | | ج و ب | |
| and We bestowed | | wawahabnā | | وَوَهَبْنَا | | و ه ب | |
| and We cured | | wa-aṣlaḥnā | | وَأَصْلَحْنَا | | ص ل ح | |
| his wife. | | zawjahu | | زَوْجَهُ | | ز و ج | |
| Indeed, they | | innahum | | إِنَّهُمْ | | ا ن ن | |
| used (to) | | kānū | | كَانُوا | | ك و ن | |
| hasten | | yusāriʿūna | | يُسَارِعُونَ | | س ر ع | |
| good deeds, | | l-khayrāti | | الْخَيْرَاتِ | | خ ى ر | |
| and they supplicate to Us | | wayadʿūnanā | | وَيَدْعُونَنَا | | د ع و | |
| (in) hope | | raghaban | | رَغَبًا | | ر غ ب | |
| and fear, | | warahaban | | وَرَهَبًا | | ر ه ب | |
| and they were | | wakānū | | وَكَانُوا | | ك و ن | |
| humbly submissive. | | khāshiʿīna | | خَاشِعِينَ | | خ ش ع | |
