| Arabic | | وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاءَ الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِين |  |

| leaders, | | a-immatan | | أَئِمَّةً | | ا م م | |
| they guide | | yahdūna | | يَهْدُونَ | | ه د ى | |
| by Our Command. | | bi-amrinā | | بِأَمْرِنَا | | ا م ر | |
| And We inspired | | wa-awḥaynā | | وَأَوْحَيْنَا | | و ح ى | |
| to them | | ilayhim | | إِلَيْهِمْ | | ا ل ى | |
| (the) doing | | fiʿ'la | | فِعْلَ | | ف ع ل | |
| (of) good deeds, | | l-khayrāti | | الْخَيْرَاتِ | | خ ى ر | |
| and establishment | | wa-iqāma | | وَإِقَامَ | | ق و م | |
| (of) the prayer | | l-ṣalati | | الصَّلَوةِ | | ص ل و | |
| and giving | | waītāa | | وَإِيتَاءَ | | ا ت ى | |
| (of) zakah; | | l-zakati | | الزَّكَوةِ | | ز ك و | |
| and they were | | wakānū | | وَكَانُوا | | ك و ن | |
| worshippers. | | ʿābidīna | | عَابِدِينَ | | ع ب د | |
