| the heavens | | l-samāwāti | | السَّمَاوَاتِ | | س م و | |
| and the earth. | | wal-arḍi | | وَالْأَرْضِ | | ا ر ض | |
| And (those) who | | waman | | وَمَنْ | | م ن | |
| (are) near Him | | ʿindahu | | عِنْدَهُ | | ع ن د | |
| they are arrogant | | yastakbirūna | | يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ | | ك ب ر | |
| worship Him | | ʿibādatihi | | عِبَادَتِهِ | | ع ب د | |
| they tire. | | yastaḥsirūna | | يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ | | ح س ر | |
