| "has taken | | ittakhadha | | اتَّخَذَ | | ا خ ذ | |

| Glory be to Him! | | sub'ḥānahu | | سُبْحَانَهُ | | س ب ح | |
| the heavens | | l-samāwāti | | السَّمَاوَاتِ | | س م و | |
| and the earth. | | wal-arḍi | | وَالْأَرْضِ | | ا ر ض | |
| (are) humbly obedient. | | qānitūna | | قَانِتُونَ | | ق ن ت | |
